Blues after Morrison : Everton are rumoured to be chasing West Brom's James Morrison.A bid of around £4m is apparently being offered for the winger who had a decent start to last season, but failed to meet his full potential in the Premier League at the Hawthorns. West Brom are thought to be holding out for £6m for the 23 year old Scot. Source : West Brom Vital |
Target to go to Anfield? : Long-term target Joao Moutinho could be on his way to Anfield this summer, a report in Portugal has claimed.Everton have been monitoring his situation since having a bid for the play-maker turned down last summer, but now Liverpool could steal in and offer the £18m Sporting Lisbon asked for. Moutinho was desperate to leave Sporting last summer and was roundly booed by his own fans after saying as much in public when Everton were linked. Source : The Football Pool |
Brentford want Ruddy : According to the Hounslow Chronicle, League 1 Brentford are interested in bringing Everton's reserve keeper John Ruddy to Griffin Park.Ruddy, now 22, has been with the club since 2005. He has had no fewer than eight spells out on loan. Source : Hounslow Chronicle |
Dempsey eyes Blue move : Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey is apparently looking for a move to Everton, according to several reports today. The American has not signed a new deal with the Cottagers, andhis agent says there are several clubs after the 26 year old. "We have interest from several clubs in Clint, this includes two clubs in the EPL, 1 in France, 2 in Germany and 1 in Spain," said his agent. Source : Goal.com |
"Everton want £20m" : The Manchester Evening News is claiming that a bid of £15m has been rejected by Everton for Joleon Lescott. The paper claims that Everton are holding out for £20m for the player who will return from holiday next week. Lescott has long been the subject of speculation about a move to Eastlands but so far only the MEN is reporting a definite bid. Source : Manchester Evening News |
No Mbia as Rennais return to training : Everton target Stephane Mbia was absent from training for his current club Stade Rennais as they returned for their pre-season preparations.Currently involved in a tug-of-war between Everton and Marseille, the Cameroon international had more pressing concerns than getting fit, it would seem. Could the Blues be close to sealing the signing? Source : Maxifoot |
United chasing Cahill : Manchester United are reported to be lining up a move for Tim Cahill. The Guardian newspaper is claiming that United will splash the cash following their record deal to offload Christiano Ronaldo. Any offer to tempt Everton to sell would have to be astronomical though surely. Source : The Guardian |
Kevin Nolan linked : FansFC have linked Everton with a move for Kevin Nolan. The Liverpool supporting, Nigerian-kicking, thug was unable to stop Newcastle's ultimate demise last season, and would hardly be welcomed at Goodison Park by the Gwladys Street faithful. Perhaps a note on the reliability of the statement is one of the comments below the FansFC piece, which claims Tim Cahill supports Liverpool! Source : FansFC |
Blues in talks to extend Jo deal : Everton and Manchester City are in talks to extend the loan deal of Jo to Everton. With City having splashed the cash on strikers, it is unlikely Jo will get a game at Eastlands next year, and with Everton at the other end of the fincancial spectrum, it is unlikely Goodison will see a £16m fee paid this summer. Jo impressed at Goodison Park on loan last season, but will need to transfer his goals at home to away form if he is to succeed in England. Source : Echo |
Blues offer of €12m accepted? : The French media are reporting that Everton have had a bid of €12m for Stephane Mbia accepted by Stade Rennais. The offer beats Marseille's offer of around €9m but the club say Mbia will be sold to the highest bidder, and that there is no deadline on when that bid must be received. The supply of OM is lower than those of English clubs. There is no hurry. No deadline has been set for this transfer," said Pierre Dreossi, the general manager of the Stade Rennais. "It will at best prices. " Source : Foot Mercato |
