Official Site confirm Pienaar injury

Everton‘s official website has confirmed the injury sustained to Steven Pienaar.

After the South African missed Everton’s 0-0 draw at Stoke yesterday, some Evertonians began to question if Pienaar had decided not to take part due to contractual issues. However, following rumours that Pienaar had indeed injured himself in training, the club moved to confirm the 27 year old’s ankle injury.

Pienaar, who has fourteen months to run on his current deal, is apparently being tracked by Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur, and the Toffees have made it known that Pienaar will not be leaving on the cheap if he fails to put pen to paper on a new deal.
