Howard progresses with USA

Tim Howard and his USA team-mates have made it through the group stages of the 2010 World Cup by winning their group.

England looked like winning the group until the USA scored in injury time against Algeria to send them top and reduce England to second place.

The USA will play the runners up from Group D in the round of 16, which could be any from Serbia, Germany, or Ghana, while England will play the winners of the group.  The games to decide Group D’s final standings take place this evening.
