Arteta: We don’t want to disappoint the fans

Mikel Arteta is enjoying his pre-season tour with Everton, and insists the boys are taking their preparations for next term very seriously indeed.

Everton started last season in terrible form, but Arteta wants to make sure that doesn’t happen again come August 14th.

“We are excited to be here. We have great facilities, a great stadium (The ANZ in Sydney) and a game to play,” said the Spaniard.

“We have to get fit and get ready. We don’t want to disappoint the fans and we want to make everyone proud of Everton.”
