Fellaini itching at return

Marouane Fellaini is hoping to return to the first team fold sooner rather than later.

The midfielder, who was in scintillating form before being injured in last season’s Merseyside derby at Anfield, returned to full training at the start of the week, and told EvertonTV that he hoped to recapture the form he showed before his ankle injury.

“I was in good form and now I am working hard to get to the same level. I know it is difficult but that is what I am working for,” he said.

“At the moment I feel good, my ankle has no pain and I have trained fully with the team.

“I have started full training and I hope in maybe two weeks I can start playing games, I have worked hard with the physios to get fitter.

“Two weeks, three weeks, I don’t know. I haven’t played for five months so it is difficult. Wolves? I hope so!”
