Evertonians have faith in Beckford

New signing Jermaine Beckford has inspired Evertonians, with many of them believing the striker can get into double figures in the goal charts this season.

In a poll on our newly re-launched site, almost two thirds of over 1,500 supporters who voted believed the former Leeds man will scored more than 10 goals for Everton this season.

He has already shown he knows where the net is, bagging twice at Preston earlier in pre-season, and impressing his team-mates in training.

Arriving at Goodison on a Bosman transfer, many believed initially that Beckford would be nothing more than a back-up option, but now he appears to have inspired Evertonians to believe he can become a first choice striker at Goodison Park.
