Neville can’t wait to play at Goodison again

Phil NevillePhil Neville and his team can’t wait to get back to football at Goodison Park again, according to the Everton captain.

The Blues have enjoyed a successful pre-season, and this evening welcome their Chilean namesakes, who were formed after Liverpool’s first football team toureed their country in 1909.

“It is quite a unique fixture,” said the Everton captain.

“It’s the first time our fans will see us in action at Goodison. The season is creeping up on us and we need to make sure we hit the ground running.

“We want to win the game, winning brings confidence and every player in the squad is back training now.

“Hopefully the fans will see the World Cup players tonight and the boys are looking forward to being at Goodison.”
