Vaughan can leave the Blues

James VaughanThe Liverpool Daily Post  claims that James Vaughan will be sold in order to raise funds to bring in new players.

Vaughan burst onto the scene in 2004 becoming the youngest Everton player to score in a league game, as well as breaking some 4 other records by his appearance against Crystal Palace.

Since then, however, he has been plagued by injuries and his progress has been hampered cruelly by a series of freak occurrences, including a severed artery at Bolton.

Vaughan was hoped to be the next big thing when he broke through, and if not for injuries his eye for goal and blistering pace would surely have seen him become an Everton legend, but it looks as though David Moyes‘ patience with the striker’s fitness has finally run out.

Blackburn Rovers are said to be interested, which could bring in a fee of more than £1m for his services, but, should he stay fit, could also see him scoring at Goodison again.
