Rodwell wants to forget poor season

Jack Rodwell wants to put last season behind him and look forward to better form next time around.

The England Under 21 international was confirmed as part of the squad to go to the European Championships this summer, and hopes it can boost his performances for next season.

He said: “Personally it’s been an off season for me I’ve picked up a lot of injuries and not been able to get a good run of form, so I’m looking forward to next season.

“I’ve a lot of niggling injuries and not been able to get match fit and it can get frustrating when you’re coming back to fitness at the end of the year.

“But now I’m feeling really good, it’s the best I’ve felt. I’ve got a good tournament ahead of me and I’m really looking forward to it.”
