Baxter admits injury woe after mini derby

Jose Baxter has admitted that he should not have played against Liverpool in the reserve derby at Kirkby today.

The Everton youngster was captain and played a part in Everton’s goal in the 1-1 draw, but admitted on Twitter that he shouldn’t have been playing after picking up an injury in training.

Played well today the lads. Good point. I was awful. Groin is in bits. Shouldn't had played. #madeitworse

Having spent time on loan at Tranmere, Baxter hasn’t lost his desire to play against – and beat – Liverpool, responding to another Tweet that he was desperate to be involved.

@ came of monday buck in training. Its cabbaged. But cause it was red shite made me want to play haha
