David Weir to return to Goodison
David Weir is set to make a return to Goodison Park this season.
The former Everton defender was released by Rangers earlier this season, and is preparing to take up a coaching role at Everton.
41 year old Weir made almost 250 appearances for Everton after being signed by Walter Smith, and even after his 35th birthday made over 100 appearances for Rangers, including a UEFA Cup Final.
Fellow Scot Duncan Ferguson is also rumoured to be ready to sign a longer term deal as part of the academy coaching staff.
