Jelavic was seen rushing out of Goodison Park by Sky Sports News camera to head back to his hotel, but without having signed a deal, or even taken a tour of Goodison.
Everton officials had hoped to have the deal signed off before the Manchester City game, but it would appear we will have to wait for the Croatian to sign on the dotted line.
However, Everton’s Andy Lewis has since confirmed that Jelavic simply wanted to change his clothes! The hurry to get to the hotel might suggest a toilet malfunction…
