Everton maager Roberto Martinez will wait until the end of the season before deciding whether to hand five of his out of contract stars a new deal.
Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar, Darron Gibson, Tony Hibbert and Felipe Mattioni could all leave the Toffees in July if they are not handed new contracts to sign.
But, with 10 important Premier League matches still to play, plus an intriguing FA Cup semi-final clash with either Manchester United or West Ham United to come, Martinez is holding off talks until the season’s end.
“At the moment we have five players out of contract at the end of the season and every individual situation is going to be managed once the season ends,” Martinez confirmed.
“There is no change in that.
“There were the things we had to do this season, some players had triggers in their contracts and that has been done.
“Now we need to focus on the football side, see how good we can be in the next 10 games in the league and see how far we can go in the FA Cup.
“That is a team period. We will then have the moment to talk with individuals.”
