Everton are keeping tabs on the availability of Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj, according to Sky Sport Italia.
The news outlet claims that the Blues are pondering a move for the defensive midfielder, who would command a fee of around £10m.
However, Everton face competition from AC Milan, who are also said to be eyeing a bid for Badelj.
Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is keen to strengthen the heart of his midfield during the summer transfer window.
Badelj has plied his trade with Fiorentina since August 2014 – the 27-year-old making the move from German side Hamburger SV for around £3.5m.
Badelj featured 35 times for I Viola last season, including 27 appearances in Serie A as the Italians finished fifth in the league standings.
A Croatian international, Badelj was part of his national side’s squad during the Euro 2016 Championships in France, and has been capped 27 times by his country.
The midfielder has won eight trophies throughout his club career, with all pieces of silverware – five league titles and three Croatian Cups – coming during his time at his first club side Dinamo Zagreb.
