As we reported earlier this morning, Idrissa Gueye has completed his medical and has signed for Everton for a fee believed to be around £7.1m.
Gueye becomes Everton’s second signing of the summer, joining Maarten Stekelenburg with Ashley Williams expected to be joining later in the week.
The 26 year old Senegalese international was one of the only good things about Aston Villa last season, and it is rumoured that Steve Walsh had identified him as a potential signing for Leicester before he moved to Goodison Park.
He will wear the number 17 shirt, vacated by Mo Besic who took over the number 21 shirt from Leon Osman.
Gueye is believed to have signed a four year deal, with an option to extend to a fifth year, according to Senegalese press.
