The Spaniard set up Romelu Lukaku as the Blues took the lead shortly after he came on as substitute, but says the result does not send him home happy.
Knowing he needs to me a bigger contribution to games when he gets his chance, Deulofeu says he was happy to provide the assist but was disappointed with the result.
“It’s a disappointing result,” he said after the match.
“I think Leicester are a very defensive team and it’s difficult to get the advantage. We scored but after that I think the team lost the ball and dropped back a little bit.
“I don’t think this is the way. We need to attack when we’re winning but we need to improve, train better and now we have three days off before Man City which is a big game and we need to leave the past behind.
“Today I have a chance to play minutes and this is what I want when I get on the pitch, to take my chance.
“But I’m disappointed because if you take your chance and your team win then it’s better but I don’t go home happy.
“I need to contribute more goals and more assists this season but the most important thing is to win the game and this is the problem.”
