Everton are reportedly close to sealing a deal to bring Algerian striker Ishak Belfodil for around £10m from Standard Liege.
The Blues made an offer yesterday for around £8.5m which was rejected, but are believed to have gone back with a better offer according to the Guardian.
Belfodil has just six months left on his contract with Liege and after scoring seven goals in 16 games has attracted attention from around Europe.
Steve Walsh is said to have agreed the deal and Belfodil is ready to fly into Merseyside to sign with the Blues.
There is, however, some confusion over the deal, with a Belgian news outlet claiming that Everton have only paid around £4m for the striker, rather than the £10m advertised.
