Everton's Under 18 side will be in action on Monday as Carlisle United visit Finch Farm for a friendly match.

Carlisle are currently training near Preston and will also face Rochdale.

Marca, the Spanish sports paper, is reporting that Mehmet Aurelio has flown to Merseyside in order to sign for Everton.

The 30 year old defensive midfielder is apparently out of contract with Fenerbahce and ready to move to the Premier League after the Blues offered more money that Spanish Real Betis.

Aurelio is Turkey's vice captain and has played 20 times for his country (despite being born in Brazil!)

Everton are set to unveil Steve Round as David Moyes' new assistant manager today according to the Press Association.

The Blues have been locked in negotiations over securing Round's appointment for the last few days, but it is believed he will be at Finch Farm to meet his new colleagues today.

Article Now that the season is over, and the silly season begins, what are you going to do, we all have a varying array of options.

OPTION 1

Sit back, listen and watch as all the hangers on and people who don’t have a clue, bandy about their opinions, and get shot down by the "know it all" no marks that prowl the internet and other forms of media waiting for one such person to dare have an opinion.

OPTION 2

Become an internet warrior, and delight in the bullying of people from behind your keyboard, therefore becoming , a "Know it all" no mark, and screaming abuse at people who dare to have an opinion.

Whilst showing your sad friend/s what you did on the Internet to get banned / reprimanded and laughing about it in school/work /the pub

OPTION 3

Spout an enormous amount of garbage about players that are coming to or from us for ridiculous amounts of money, then abusing people at any opportunity given to you, for disagreeing or maybe even doubting your word.

OPTION 4

Not say a word to any one, and hope and wish that the manger and the board do their job properly and get exactly what you need, for the forthcoming season.

There is possibly many more options that could spring to your mind as you read this, but personally I will be going for option 4 or maybe even OPTION 5 making up the most ridiculous rumours you can think of that could never possibly be true and amuse yourself by spreading them as far and wide , as you possibly can .

Good luck to you all during this mad and sad part of the year, when we all have nothing better to do and the rot sets in, just remember there is always another option, don't become "ONE OF THEM" if you know what I mean.

Take care all

COYB's

lots of love

I dont get it?

Is this just a dig at forum users? I thought forums were for discussion and constructive disagreement i.e debate. Sure it gets out of hand sometimes but its mainly in jest.

I think you need to lighten up.

Haha, great article.

Option 5 is definitely my choice. But with a simle on my face, not taking myself too seriously, and hoping nobody else will.

Fantastic article bally.

You have said it all, apart from missing Options 5 onwards, for me. I may now take Option X and abstain from all forum activity - choosing BBC Sports website Transfer Gossip and texting my mate in Preston with the odd 1 liner like ' Micahel Owen - what do you think?'.
