The LotR trilogy has put me off ever watching a Peter Jackson film again.

I only watched the first one and found it boring as shit  Are these new ones just a remake of the ones that were out 10 years ago with the same director and some of the same cast?

failing to see where the appeal is. Saying that my only dabble with anything like this genre is Game Of Thrones and I love that. The sex, violence and bad language may be a big part of that thrill though!

The Hobbit was a prequel book the author wrote before Lord of the Rings. It has similar characters.

The trailer also made me shy away, looks like more of the same.

Watched Troll Hunter last night.  It's no Cloverfield but still entertaining if you're prepared to get over the obvious plot holes etc.

Normally I would take a look at a trailer like this and pass it off as another monster B movie type AAA wannabe (ala  Battleship).

However this is a Guillermo del Toro film so, in all likelihood, it will be amazing.

Yeah I liked Cloverfield.  It is a bit shit but it's also very entertaining so I'm a fan.

Them using unknowns really helped the film feel kind of real.  those spider creature things in the underground scared the shit out of me!

Martin Freeman plays Bilbao (played by Ian Holm in LOTR) Frodos (Elijah Woods) uncle.

Watched Cloud Atlas last night..I think iv worked out what its about but its hard work!  Must say though: fantastic acting from Tom Hanks .
