It could well scupper his chances of being England manager, I can't see the FA wanting the baggage.
But then again some of the players have got away with a lot too and managed to stay in frame for selection.

Looking at some of the stuff coming out, it doesn't look to rosy for him.
The stupid thing is, it wasn't even that much money. If you're going to do the tax man you might as well do it for a few million. It's barely £200k that the tax was due on. He probably earns that in 3 weeks these days.

At the time he was on a comparatively low wage so l can see where the temptation came from.
You have to bear in mind that before Newcastle were gonna jizz all over him he had only managed one relatively big club in West Ham.
Before that he'd spent most of his time in the lower leagues and before football was invented by Sky.
It's only in the last 4 or 5 years he's managed to climb on board the gravy train.
I know it's harsh to say so but from what i've heard going off in the press in the opening couple of days, the bloke is bang to rights.

Yeah, I understand he wasn't on much that much money at the time, but it's still fairly small amount to risk all that on. I'm pretty sure one of his excuses to police was that he forgot about the money, that's why he never declared it. So you'd still need to be fairly wealthy to even be able to claim that you forgot about £200k laying in a bank account. Another excuse was that it was some sort of investment that he lost, so again, he must have been wealthy enough to claim he had that sort of money to invest?

Jail. But as I said, it's not actually that much money in the grand scheme of things. It's not like he's syphoned millions of pounds away. I reckon he'll get a big fine and that'll be it.

Either that or just be a lying, crook of a man who's clearly on the swizz. 200k at the time was nearly 50% of his annual salary (according to The Independent today he was on 500k basic salary at Pompey) and l dont care who you are, if someone offers you the chance to pocket 50% of your annual dosh in one, tax free swoop, then your gonna be tempted as hell. If your name is 'Arry Redknapp then your gonna be like a pig in shit at the thought of it.

There is also the story to do with him becoming either Southampton or Pompey manager where he said no he wasnt going there then he lumped loads on himself going there to make some extra money.

Probably prison. You have to steal at least a hundred times more to get away with it scot-free.
