Was surprised at the inclusion of Joey Barton it's not like he ever likes to get involved in anything controversial is it...

TBH he was the only one interviewed that came out any good, Fash was and still is a fucking gonk of epic proportions, I had to explain to my mrs how much of a prick the man really is

Barton spoke with alot of sense and maturity. fairplay to the little gobshite

Showed the interview from the 90s when he basically disowned his brother
He was as always a general tit

That's what I don't get, surely he would be more understanding in that situation.

Met him when I was 9 in '85, when he joined Brighton (no jokes about why he was attracted to Brighton!). He chatted for ages with my dad and grandad, nice bloke. Potentially a top player, but didn't stand a chance in the Alf Garnett era, being both black and gay. John's public treatment of him was a disgrace; Shame on you, John Fashanu.

I watched it last night.

Terrible documentary only produced to enhance John Fashanus daughters career, very self serving. I also thought there was a touch of revenge in it, from the daughter towards her father. She clearly knows his views on homosexuality and will have been well aware of what he said at the time her uncle came out. Fashanu was either to stupid or to arrogant to realise this, or maybe he simply wanted some more publicity. He was shown to be a bigot, again.

It did make me laugh that they went to Sweden to film a 4th (?) division game with a footballer who if i remember right was actually a sub? Also Matt Lucus explaining to her that it was ok to find the 'your holding hands' chant funny, and she needn't show pseudo disgust at it. Along with the fact that they didn't know the FAs grass roots policy on it and the false assumption that it would be an old white fella in charge really does show how tragic it was.

The most interesting thing in it was Gareth Thomas talking about how he's been accepted in rugby.

The main point was when was asked whether if he could go through it again would he go about it differently and he replied with "I dont know"

Oh right John yes because its such a difficult descision you know. Things turned out alright for you didnt they, sure maybe your brother could still be alive had you done things differently but fuck me that gladiators gig was a laugh wasnt it? i think we all would of done the same had we been in your position thumbs up
