Do people realise this is a Wigan side that in their 7 games previous to playing us they had lost 6, conceded 20 goals, scored only 6 and accumulated one point?
That performance was fucking pathetic. Moyes was completely to blame. Just going to quote this because it seems nobody is taking it in. I can't fathom how people are defending Moyes or the team today.

Because i cant fathom why our fatigue had more of an effect than theirs?
The fatigue had the same effect on both teams, it was a draw, though we created our goal, whereas they had to rely on a freakish bounce. So if anything we coped better than they did

Overall I thought we started well today, Pienaar calling the tune and the rest following; some nice passing triangles and quick movement off the ball. The turning point came when our second attacker was replaced with Neville, and our central midfield trojan, Fellaini was made to advance. If he had replaced like for like (i.e. Jelavic or Vic on for Cahill) I feel we would have had too much for them. Having said that their goal was a freak, and certainly wasn't something they deserved. As has been said, 4 points from these last couple of games is much unexpected. Bring on Chelsea I say. I just hope he plays Strac and a partner (not Fellaini); he really doesn't deserve to be dropped.

Great observation. The Verminator's got something useful to say nearly every post.

so fatigue isn't part of the main reason we drew?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to say or prove. Fatigue had something to do with us not playing to our full potential. Other factors that contributed to the game finishing as a draw were a flukey goal from Wigan, potentially a poor substitution or two from our manager, and an overall poor team performance. There is no team in the league who you just need to turn up at and the result will be yours. A lot of us expected a win today, me included but it just didn't happen. It was disappointing but sometimes results don't go how you expect them to. I'm sure Chelsea weren't happy with a draw away at Wigan, but that's what they got, and that's what we got too. I'm not happy with the point but i can understand and accept that we only got a point today.

poor result, but it was always going to be tough after the effort put in on tuesday. i see people moaning about the neville sub, as i understood it, from listening to city, cahill had picked up a knock in the first half so i can understand why he needed to make the change. that said i felt he could have left straq on and taken gibson off with the jelavic sub, still good to see pienaar slot straight back in with ease

thought if we had another 5 to 10 minutes we would have gotten the winner. this probably means jelavic and victor came on a bit too late

Tired of the players getting off scott free. Yes Moyes fucked up, so did the players. They let him, and us down.

The players on the pitch were good enough to have won that game and without a complete freak of a goal we would have won .. our possession and chances created were better than Wigan's but they got a point ... it happens , it's football , strange results happen all the time ... We've just got to get on with it and the results will come , I fully expect us to take points from the 4 games coming up vs Chelsea , Spurs , Utd and RS ... a few weeks ago most of us would have just written those games off .

My take on the game was we was playing some lovely football in the first half, passing in triangles and players interchanging position. At halftime there was only one team that was going to score apart from the odd shakey moment from distin we looked in control. Sadly this all changed on the subbing of cahill for neville, the calm control and composed passing of felliani was taken away from the midfield and disjointed are game. It was a mad sub by moyes, when the midfield was in control and bright, surely royston behide denis at that stage would of been a good choice, before two up top later in game with jelavic coming on and donovan or pienaar giving way. On jelavic his moment looked bright and time will telling, a ranger fan on xbox live told me last night he was the best talent thats been in SPL for years and he will be a top striker for us. One last thing he said WHY THE FUCK DIDNT BAINES let him take that freekick at end it was made for the right footer and i have seen him bang a few of them in from same position!
