At the end of the season, we will have lost Pienaar, Drenthe, Donovan, and possibly Neville from our midfield, not to mention players from other positions or the squad in general.

Are we to start looking for players when that happens, or get them in now? Wanting to spend money on young players is great, but they don't have what it takes to compete in the Premiership yet, and Moyes regularly gets youth in anyway.

If we're going to rely on the likes of Alexander Hleb to "compete in the Premiership" going forward, we'll not be competing in the Premiership for long. It's been awhile since he played at that level for Arse, and you won't find too many Arsenal fans lamenting the day he left. We really have to do better.

We don't have the funds to secure better players across the squad. He would be ideal for making the numbers up. Decent experienced player who won't mind being sat down occasionally.

Apparently, we had 3-4m remaining in the kitty which we were trying to spend on deadline day but ran out of time and targets
Whether we still have that in the summer is a different story.

I'd really like to believe that but if we did have 3 to 4 million still to spend last month then i think Moyesy would of spent it. He knows aswell as all us that money is tight at Everton and very scarce so what money is available needs to be spent there and then cos if there was 3 to 4 mill extra to spend before the deadline, i'd imagine it wont be there in the summer!.

If we have got 3-4 mill still in the summer then moyesy needs to use it on signing Pienaar permanently IMO.
