I can hear the laughing already stop it all of you.  But...been at the club since a kid, never lets the side down and has done more for the cause than most of our squad combined.  People whisper it about Cahill but because Hibbert's contribution is in defence does it get forgotten about?  Is it because he rarely does interviews and doesn't attract attention?  Or am I just overttired?

Surely in these watered down times were Ferguson is considered one Hibbert should be?

There are a few of us who object to that.
If your definition of a"legend" is length of service then of course he is a "legend".

Thats why he said considered one.

Hibbert has set records for us so I'll consider him a legend.

that really bad cup final will always go against him unless he gets like a MOM award in the next one (presuming we get to another one and he would play)

being the Everton player to have played in more European games for us than any other deserves respect, but nobody since Neville Southall has lived up to the term "legend" at Everton

I concur. Tony Hibbert is more deserving of the title than most in the current era. However until we win something, he will sit comfortably at the less elevated status of cult hero rather than legend.

One thing that might elevate him to legendary status, or nearer to it is a winning goal against the shite at anfield.

he should wear "Jeeves" on his shirt for his testimonial!

For me Ferguson is called a legend because I knew he might have a chance if he were playing, no matter who it was against. Hibbert does a job. People are getting carried away. Full backs in the premier league need to be able to get forward and cross balls. Hibbert tries but just look at what our LB does. Neville is just as bad, I wish somebody would just tell the knobhead to swing the ball in and not do that stupid dinked ball! Also has nobody at Everton realised Neville's long throw is the worst in the league?

Why do we persist in him taking them? I'm sick of seeing him keep telling Fellaini to move further away from him and then never reaching him. It's pathetic.
