Sorry couldnt see if this has already been posted?

Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac claims he turned down a move to Everton during last month's transfer window.

Gignac's future at Marseille has been the subject of speculation for some time with the player currently out of favour under Didier Deschamps.

Fulham were also linked with a move for Gignac last month and reports in France claim Marseille offered Everton the chance to sign the 26-year-old.

However, Gignac snubbed the move to Merseyside preferring to stay at Stade Velodrome, with the French international also thought to have snubbed offers from Nice, Brest and Lorient

"Everton is a top club in England but for me Marseille is bigger and more attractive," Gignac told skysports.com.

"I want to play one day abroad but at a bigger club like the Manchester Uniteds of this world.

"I do want to make a name for myself at Marseille. I love the club."

Or

"Everyone knew Everton where after a forward in the transfer window, and my agent said the pay shit loads of money in the premiership"

"I missed out this time because I was very greedy and only clubs like Utd can actually afford those kind of demands"

"I'm stuck here now for the rest of the season and now the manager knows we tried to engineer a move away, bollocks"

He is a one season wonder. He got 20+ goals in 08/09 and has been shocking since. Id rather have took a chance on the Rangers striker we actually got, but Im not so optimistic on how good he will be.

Never heard of him before the rumour surfaced. How does he expect to move to united when hes not good enough for his own club. What a tool.
