Whats the point when I haven't seen anything if what you've said of Rodwell? I could just say...

He's very obviously a much better tackler, covers more ground, is stronger, faster, is excellent with both feet, strong in the air, and can drive forward with the ball.

I would pick him over Rodwell right now.

Unless more people agree with you then I'm wrong.

What?

That doesn't make any sense though. Rodwell is clearly a better athlete, and clearly superior in at least a few of those areas, even those who dislike him would agree that he is a much better athlete than Gibson.

You could at least provide a proper answer instead of copying what I said in some sort of vain attempt to prove a point.

Bullshit.

He's very obviously a much better tackler, covers more ground, is stronger, faster, is excellent with both feet, strong in the air, and can drive forward with the ball.

His weakness right now is his unwillingness to play the difficult passes that can split defenses open, and when he is occasionally caught out of position.

I would pick him over Gibson right now.

Rodwell does not cover more ground. He's always one of the lowest in the team in that department. His work rate and defensive awareness are abysmal. As you've said he's also unwilling or unable to make any penetrating passes and his scoring record is pretty poor.

Gibson has been rubbish but he obviously hasn't played a lot of regular first team football. Rodwell can't really say that. I'd rather have Osman in the team ahead of both.

Figuritively. Wink

Just watched the HIMYM episode where this is made a big deal of it. Now that's irony.

I would have said that "irony" and "ironic" are the most misused words.

Alanis Morissette used it incorrectly in that song at LEAST 20 times.

Anyway, back onto topic; I like Rodwell, but I also like Gibson which has surprised me and to be fair it's not gonna cause any real harm to either of them by having some healthy competition for the spot.

Rodwell to CB to partner Heitinga?

(Apologies if someone has already mentioned this. Far to lazy to read back through 5 pages...)
