What a difference a week makes

Evertonians have gone from severe depression to something approaching rapture in the last week and rightly so, says David Martin.

I'll hold judgement until Saturday night, if that's alright. Some of our results against the lesser lights has been awful this season

No, but at least that is understandable if not excusable. Losing at home to the likes of QPR and Stoke and failing to beat  others like Norwich is unforgivable.

I think that's fair comment, we have been awful against the QPR's etc.

agree totally, i dont actually mind so much when we lose to teams i expect to struggle against but when we lose (at home particularly) to the likes of bolton, qpr, reading etc (teams we should beat) it makes my blood boil!
to lose at home to chelsea/man utd/arsenal isnt shameful but the others is unacceptable (thinking blackpool/sheff wed in cup now)

Sharpattack makes an excellent point. if we can keep some for we can catch Arsenal, Liverpool and even Newcastle. Would need a run much like last year. If we can do it we might end up in a cup final too

I think Tuesday was probably the best day Everton have had since The FA Cup Semi-final.

I don't know why people keep saying that? We lost to Wigan a couple of weeks after. I still say our turning point that season was equalising against Villa in injury time then Young scoring the winner straight after, gave us the kick up the arse we needed.

Tuesday turned our season on it's head for me , there were not many of us who thought we'd beat a top 4 team this season and certainly not in a manner that we actually deserved our win with an injury hit team .. If you add to that the 2 signings that we'd all but given up any hope on .We are now looking forward with optimism not dread

It's because we have the best manager in the league...
