                 Howard
Coleman jags heitinga baines
            Rodwell Fellani
Drenthe     Barkley     Pienaar
                 Jellavic

With squad players like Gibson distin hibbert guaye ossie Cahill straq vellios

Possiblely adding 1 or 2 maybe Donovan permanently.

If it all clicks.. Ie Coleman makes RB his own
                         Drenthe learns and gets better
Barkley steps up like Wiltshire did
Jellavic is a top striker and goalscorer
                         Our loans are made permanent
Gibson Fellani and rodwell pushing each other for the 2 CM slots

How good potentially could this team/squad be... As I said if it all clicks into place???

Thoughts???

Potentially very good, though there's no chance of Donovan. Probably most likely this happens though: we have a horrible summer and no business is done at all. We start the season like twats again and don't click in to gear til about December/Jan. we go on a great run 2nd half of the season but it's not quite good enough

Barkley won't be ready, stop dreaming. If he was close to being ready we would have seen more of him this season.
I don't think Moyes thinks Coleman is ready for RB. I hope he becomes ready, but Moyes think and knows Hibbo is much better defensively.

Barkley won't be ready???
Moyes has said it will be end of season till we see him more and tbh if he's what we all think he is, then next season should see him playing alot... Maybe not every single game but alot higher proportion

So u don't even think he won't be ready, if he won't be playing every game.

But who knows, we shall see.

I would let Drenthe go,he does give us a bit of spark, but he does seem to be a liability.

I'd say its highly unlikely that we will sign Pienaar permanently, due to money

I'd say theres more chance of John Terry winning sports personality of the year than Landon signing permanently

Much as I love Denis, we probably dont have the money to sign him and even if we did he needs to get more goals before the end of the season to justify it

I think we'll take Drenthe on a free, as long as he wants to stay, and Im not convinced he will want to as he can probably get more money elsewhere

Im still waiting for Rodwell to turn it on regularly and justify all the plaudits he gets

So, theres an awful lot of "ifs/ nevers" in your ideal scenario

I'd sign Straq if he links up well with Jelavic.

I'd prefer him taking Cahills position.

Again people pissing their knickers for no apparent reason.

Even if Jelavic does prove to be worth the money he's still not going to be good enough to trouble the top sides. He's very simply not good enough for that. Neither is Straq.

That team is still weak in more than one area imo.

Big call considering he's not even played for us yet.

Wonder how many people said the same about Cahill, Jags and Lescott when they first arrived from a lesser league...

Or maybe just being realistic?

I have high hopes for Jelavic myself but people are going on as if we have just signed Ronaldo and are absolutely guaranteed goals.

Not to mention having great squad players like osman, hibbert, neville, cahill, straq underneath the more talented players. Having this experienced back up will serve us well.
