£36m. Bless.

Obviously he can’t keep up the more than a goal a game but even if he slows down and has 20 across the PL season you’d be talking triple that.

23 years old, English and with 5 years left on his contract.

Nice of the media to put down the faux outrage about Van Dijk and get back to their usual business of trying to sell our players  :wanker:

I dont for one second think there is anything in this, but thought it was worth posting just for info:

Better if you at least post the source, otherwise it's literally just a body of random text that could've been written by any mentalist.

Put a 1 in front of that £36m figure and you'd be approaching his worth right now.

I have to wonder if Calciomercato isn't just making things up and using the Transfermarkt (yeah, I know) valuation of €40M.

...and yet there are probably still a few who would say take the money because a £34.5m profit on a player that cost us pennies is not to be sniffed at, and he only scores tap ins and he's nowhere near the level needed to challenge long term.
He's currently in a very rich vein of form, looks like he's thoroughly enjoying his football, scoring regularly and is oozing confidence. He's not reached his peak yet and is already a real handful. His holdup play has improved massively and he constantly looks like a threat. His price is going up and up every time he steps onto the pitch. £36m, hahahaha
