Mangala will probably want to go back to Valencia as they are desperate for a new defender apparently. Why would he want to come and play with this shower....

Well he wouldn't have to move, to start with.

Same reason as what Walcott said when he signed, wants to play for Allardyce, nothing to do with the ridiculous wage at all

Mangala isn’t garbage and would be a good signing. He’s also got a lot of what we’re missing.

Physically capable and will thrive in a more deep block defensive structure rather than front foot balling.

Edit : just want to point out that I did espouse this signing some time back.

I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

He's only going out on loan.

Mangala is alright, got a mistake in him but hes strong and quick. Can also play left back so hopefully he'll be straight in the side instead of cuco.

I dread to think how bad he would be at left back. He can be a lumbering oaf.

In saying that, he'll do a better job at centre back than Williams. I can't believe we have come to this though.

Why? getting a £35m defender in on loan is hardly disastrous.

If us signing Mangala means we won't see Ashley Williams in an Everton shirt again then I'll be fucking delighted

Can Mangala play on the left? I thought he was just a centre back.

Hes left footed.... think about it...... Big Sams planning on playing him at left back. :(

Maybe at the moment, but think a bit longer term, Baines will be fit soon and surely in the summer we will buy a left back if not sooner.

6 out - Barkley, Mirallis, Lennon, Sandro, Klaasen?, Besic? and
3 in   - Tuson, Wallcot, Mangala?

and we have not effected the playing side, are in a much better place, squad balance wise. Just goes to show the insanity of Koeman/Walsh transfer dealings.
I know Sam is not everyones cup of tea, but at least he's addressing the problems we have.

I'm all for giving credit where it's due but let's not go overboard on it. Anyone with half a brain would be able to see the horrible inbalance in the squad in terms of quality and number and start to address it. In fact he was probably told to sort it before he could add to it, so it's basic management.
