Too risky a signing. Glad we are missing out

Bit gutted we didn't make an attempt. Still optimistic of a good summer, just don't see us doing any major business until after the World Cup.

Disagree with this tbh.

Potential uplift is many x more than the risk.

But, is what it is.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Possibly right, his record isnt that much better than Dowell in the Championship either, although they do play in slightly different roles. He scored 1 in every 2.89 games last season whereas Dowell was every 3.3 games, despite being played out of position for large parts, his assist record was better with an assist every 5 games compared to Dowell at 7.4, but Dowell is a year younger too. Rather have a punt on one of our own, rather than pay 22 million for someone as equally unproven at the top level.

I know you can make a story out of stats for or against pretty easily, but im not seeing enough to say hes worth that investment.

Announced by Leicester- 24 Million

Would have been worth the punt in my opinion but if he really wanted to be closer to Coventry then not much we could have done anyway.

Not progressing this one was probably a casualty of us blowing too much money the past few years on very little value. I'd much rather we spent this amount of money on him than Bolasie for instance but we were following a different strategy at the time. Although not too sure what that strategy was.

Did we show an actual interest in him anyway, apart from just normal paper talk? He would've still chose Leicester anyway, move on.
