All fair points but I feel as if we've been doing this all season. Making what seem to be valid arguments on individual games and conflating that into a bigger picture that indicate things aren't so bad. However we're still not winning football matches or picking up many points.

Like someone said, not only is he an average manager but he's also a very unlucky one which isn't a good combination. Everything he's trying isn't coming off for a variety of reasons.

It's clearly not ideal to change your manager this early into the season and especially if your long term choice isn't available but how much longer can we limp along at a point a game before the warning light comes on.

I think the warning lights are already on, but given how close the table is, 2/3 wins in a row would change the whole complexion. Just hope he can figure out the right formula to get us moving again.

Here's how I look at it. In the first 8 games, we got 7 points and only 6 goals. In the last 3 games - after he started making changes to the lineup, subs, and game management/tactics - we're 1-1-1 with 4 pts and 5 goals. The tough stretch ahead is coming at the worst possible time, but if things are able to continue to progress in any fashion we should be picking up points at a much greater pace.

We’re sound.

I've seen & read a lot about xG and xA, and how we're supposed to be much better, and with that, I agree, but it's worth discussing why we're not better IMO.

It would seem that lack of results can be mostly attributed to 2 things: bad luck, and an inability to finish what the stats say are quality chances. It doesn't seem like luck will ever swing our way, but how much do you think our results can or will improve if we can just be more clinical and put more balls in the net? God only knows what an extra goal here or there would mean for our points total. A draw here, and win instead of a draw there, and so forth.

We’re sound.

Been wondering when something would be said about the data narrative.

I check Infogol and caley graphics after every game and we've been so consistently up on our xg vs opponents... Not always massively up by a clear goal say, but generally we've looked the better side in the numbers. We should almost certainly have had a few draws out of those losses, or maybe a win or two had we been the fortunate ones.

Infogol even do a fairness rating for the weeks fixtures, and generally when losing we've been ranked one of the most unfair results of the weekend if not the most unfair.

Have to just try and get through December. Don't take too many bumming. Should be fine.

That said, it could all go Nathan Jones.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Yep. Twice this season the opposition manager has said they didn’t deserve the win when they beat us and if we lost that spurs game it would’ve been unjust.

I can’t recall a win silva has had during his time here where I’ve come away thinking we got away with one there, but so many other times thinking how have we lost that game.

Hopefully we see these stats come to fruition in the next couple of months.

Just need to focus on our home games in December. We should be looking at 12 points from Norwich, Chelsea, Arsenal and Burnley. Get to the end of the year in the top half, Gbamin and Bernard ready to come back, cheeky little delve into the market and things could still come good.

Fully aware it could go completely the other way though, but we’re not a team that takes bummings under silva.

Also, a bit of fucking luck would be nice.

He’s gotta be playing Wobes and Bernard (when fit) in every game, with at least one of them central.

Haha  ;D As nicknames go it’s a pretty nice one, though, don’t you think, Bally?

Who are we talking about, the Wobester? Lexi Wobes? Iwobinho?

Was it Bournemouth and Sheffield? Or Villa and Sheffield? I can't remember, just that Sheffield was one of them.

It’s horrible. Makes him sound like he’s your bitch. Change it. Preferably to Iwobi. You know, his name.
