                           Pickford
        Coleman Keane Jagielka Baines
                    Gana Schneiderlin
              *Vlasic Sigurdsson Bolasie
                             DCL

Subs: Stekelenburg, Holgate, Davies, Klaassen, Rooney, Lookman, Sandro

*I've barely seen him play, but I know he is going to be great ☺️

Are we talking assuming everyone's in form? If not, I'd be dropping Schneiderlin for a start. He needs to sort himself out this season.

How is our midfield so soft with him and Gana in? Can they not play together or have they been both hyped up?

I think Davies has to start more games, as well as DCL.  I still have no clue of our best 11.

-----------------Pickford--------------
Coleman----Jags-----Keane------Baines
---------Gana----Schneiderlin--------

I honestly don't know regarding our more attacking players, I expect Klaassen and Sandro to improve considerably in the next few months and I imagine Sigurdsson will be key to how we play. Bolasie should be back around Christmas but it's been so long since he played and I don't know if his injury will have affected permanently his game especially aspects like his pace.

Ok, I'm goign to try again. I think rather than best 11 I'm going with the best 11 I think would work. Based on current players available and form.

                     Pickford

Holgate  Keane  Jags  Baines

                Gana Davies

                Sigurdsson

                    DCL

Nope. Still can't do it.

Theres more balance to that team, I'd wager a bet that would have beaten our 11 yesterday.

Pickford
Holgate Keane Jagielka Baines
Lookman Gana Schneiderlin Vlasic
 Sigurdsson
   DCL

I'd probably not play exactly like that in reality, but something attempting more balance and more natural wide players would be preferable.
Lookman has been well off the pace since he joined. With Vlasic coming in, who has much more first team experience albeit in a poorer league, I'd have expected Lookman to go out on loan. He needs to play on a weekly basis to get the fundamentals right with his game and and learn how to play as part of a team. All the talent in the world but looks like a 5-a-side tricks players.

Emphasises the size of the job Big Ron has had on his hands - think of all the shite we've binned off already and yet we've still got fucking loads of dead-wood.

Oh, and apparently Garbutt is on 30k p/w. He's a league 1 player at best - he'll be harder to get rid of than dried on dogshit!
