Or play Baines in midfield?

Or as part of a back three as the centre half who brings it out from the back?

Far too small to be part of a back 3, he'd get murdered with long diagonal balls to his side and crosses to the back post 🤣🤣🤣

Sounds like Robinson is ready to rotate with Baines next season.

Don't want him. It's going to be a PITA to type his name out every game. Typing Baines was so much simpler.
Just call him Platt

Hows he played?

Not had much to do. All the play has come down the other side, for both teams. Camped out in the opposition half, like Kimmich, as Germany like to do.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Only been 57 minutes but so far he's shown he's not as good defensively as Baines. Hasn't really shown much attacking threat either.

Germany attacked from the right through Kimmich. Plattenhardt really couldn't go forward because Kimmich was so high up.

Been banging the Robinson drum for a while now.

He impressed me massively for the under 21's last season and seems to have progressed well at Bolton.

He's very much the modern day full back

Ideal scenario;

Sign this fella
Send Robinson out on loan
Move Baines on at the end of the season and go with this fella and robinson.

Doubt Robinson will stick around if he is not our fist choice within the next two years or so.

That's on him then, to get good enough to be our first choice left back.

Sure, but that is not really germane to my (not entirely clear) point, which is that I don't see a future where we go forward next season with Plattenhardt and Robinson, because I don't think either will being willing to play second fiddle to the other.

TheRam did state that going forward with both would be an "ideal scenario" not a "realistic one," which I suppose I agree with!

I still re-iterate my insinuation and point, that Robinson isn't in a position to be expecting to be 1st choice at a top half Prem team yet.
