Does Stones jump straight back in now he's fit? Alcaraz, who was good against Newcastle but struggled in the home tie with Kiev, has match fitness on his side.

In the biggest game of the season thus far it's not as simple a decision as it would normally be.

Just to put those 4 home wins in perspective, these were their opponents:

Guingamp, Rio Ave, AaB and Steaua Bucuresti

All teams I'd expect us to beat by bigger margins
agree What frightens me was tha AaB, when the group  was still tight were able to beat Kiev 3.0 in Aalborg

thought Alcararz was fantastic against newcastle
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Alcaraz was my MOTM against Newcastle, but for me Stones comes straight back in.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Stones to come back in.

What BD and blarg said.  Plus, who knows.  The shit version of Alcaraz could show up, perhaps brought on by jetlag.  Too risky for me, as long as Stones is close to 100% fitness.

Plus, we obviously want him for hypothetical pens.  :D

Though I did vote Lennon MotM (Alcaraz totally deserving, as was Rom), proving I will mildly disagree with BD once in awhile, at least.

Difficult to decide whether to pick Alcaraz or Stones.

Stones is just coming back from injury and to be honest in the last few games that he's played he has not always been very reliable.

Alcaraz did very well in the Newcastle game but against Kiev he did have a bit of a nightmare in the first half so if he was to play tonight, Kiev might target him as our weak link.

I'll let Martinez be the judge.

Looking forward to this tonight and hopefully we can do a bit of a Wolfsburg on them. I think we can win this and another 2-1 looks about right as I doubt we'll be able to keep a clean sheet. A 1-1 or 2-2 draw would also do nicely. I think the players must be aware that this is a massive game if they're going to rescue anything from the season. I've got a feeling they're going to be up for this. These are the sort of ties where players get yellows and reds like confetti, so they're going to need to be on the ball with all the facets of a really big match facing them tonight. Just under a thousand fans are going over. So have a great time blues and keep safe. :)

Stones should be picked without a doubt.

Hate to say this but tonight really is a MASSIVE game.

If we go out it will be a nightmare.. nothing to look forward to but a battle to get to mid-table and see the Shite going for the top 4 and FA Cup.

I'd actually take a a result tonight over one at QPR.
