Blues set to finally sign Martina

Everton will reportedly complete the free transfer for Southampton right-back Cuco Martina after failing to land the Dutchman last summer.

It is what it is. A free signing to cover the long term absence of Seamus. Kenny will get game time so we may only see this fella fleetingly. It's a sensible, if uninspiring, signing

Good and necessary signing with Coleman out. A player the manager knows and zero transfer fee, it's low risk.

I was hoping to see Kenny in the first team a bit more next season, but I'm sure he will get some chances before Coleman is back from injury in the cups and as cover.

I'm also a bit excited we are getting the ball rolling and making our first signing.

He wanted his nickname to be T-Bone though.

He's got the experience in the position which is what we need. Kenny's got potential and will get his chances.. but this guy can go straight in and will allow Holgate to focus on being a CB.

Yeah it's a real signing and beats all the shit in the media like swapping Lukaku for Rooney at United or Barkley for Valentia at West Ham. I'm sick looking at random names popping up in threads and then them being analysed to death with the pros and cons of why they should or should not be an Everton player, even though there is no chance of half of them coming, and the other half are unwanted.
I know transfers are not straight forward and can take a while but I think Ron saying they had been targeting for a few months already may have given false hope that all business was going to be completed early. Maybe they are waiting for Lukaku and Barkley to go to see what money really is going to be available.
Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Nostradamus predicted we would sign Cuco Martina shortly before the end of times.
