this needs binning at the match

Kevin Mirallas is taking a free kick, so lads near me in the Street End try and get a "Rooney, Rooney" chant going

Davy Klaasen gets fouled so lads by me start shouting "Rooney, Rooney"

heard it from other parts of the Street End as well

pack it in you biffs

oh, and when Scousers chant "Rooney" the "ey" is actually pronounced as an "ee" and not "eh" like the Mancs used to, so if he does anything worthy of a chant then at least do it properly and not like a wool FFS

Never heard any of that once tbh.

Even if it did happen, it's his 1st game back, 1st game of the season, on a night after people have sunk a few.

Not worth getting stressed about is it.

I heard it twice, think it was coming from far right U.G. It just didn't sound right at the time.

Was a bit strange seeing him back in action for us at Goodison

I wonder if the hype and pressure that surrounds him might actually help the other signings settle in away from the spotlight *

Rooney had the loudest cheer when the teamsheet was read out. People would have lost their shit if he converted that chance that DCL made for him

*apart from Cuco Martina, his fate has already been sealed**

**Im joking!
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

Thought it was mostly kids chanting Rooney and you must expect that until the novelty wears off.
We are special ,we are Everton.

I need more on the pronunciation please .Do you want the chant to sound like the Mancs or what ?

I did an ironic "Fuck off back to United you" and got a few half-hearted laughs

apparently 7 out of 10 shirts sold in the club shop have Rooney on the back of them

So those shirt sales will pay for a couple of hours of his time then...
