Oh, and if he dares step up to take any kind of freekick I think my head will explode.

What's annoying is take him off set pieces and he is playing alright!

How anonymous is Anichebe?

Very although he hasn't had much to work with.  Beckfords pace would help us today though.

He's quite clearly off of free-kicks, but when was the last time he missed a pen? Can't have been in the last 3 or 4 years, I don't know why everyone is freaking out about it and blowing it all out of proportion.

Maybe cause he was actually doing quite well before he got injured and Bily has been absolute dogshite in the last few games.

I don't recall a good game he's had all season, other than last week the team's been doing well without him so he shouldn't just walk back in.

Has Arteta passed it forward yet other than the pen?

Anichebe pretty much mimicking Beckford's first half display last week. Too isolated.

Rodwell needs to come off and we need someone more creative on the pitch.

Yeah, he's always going to draw some unfair criticism whilst he's taking the set pieces. It'd be better for him if he was just taken off everything and given time to get to his full level again.

He's had several good games and offers much more than Bily ever will.

I don't see the problem with one our best players coming back into the side after a short term injury.

Beckford had nothing to work with against the top team in the premiership and got slated for it.  He also seems to have been "dropped" for his no show.  Lets see if Anichebe is dragged off at HT

Victor's and the pen by Arteta have been the only ones.

6 or 7 weeks out isn't short term. He won't be match fit

Wasn't it about 3 weeks?

Sure he's only missed a few games.

If I'm wrong then fair enough, but I still don't really have an issue with him coming back in.

The criticism for beckford was largely due to a perceived lack of effort though.
