Steve Parish , now that's a savvy Chairman . We have to pay Palace for being so desperate to employ Allardyce .

Gets hounded out of West Ham and Newcastle but welcomed here. Talk about low standards.

But wait, he wore an earpiece in 2004 to chat shit to that cunt sammy lee before anyone else was doing it. He must be a fucking visionary.

Wednesday night.

As much as I dislike him personally... for a short-term, please-get-us-out-of-trouble appointment, Allardyce makes the most sense. An improvement in defensive organization and a commitment to scoring more from set plays (we have Sigurdsson, after all) should see us into comfortable mid-table territory. Plus, our scouting/recruitment team already has some of his preferred staff -- Steve Walsh, Martyn Glover -- so we should be able to hit the ground running when the January window opens.

I don't like it but this is where we are. Mediocrity is our ceiling until we clear out some of the deadwood hanging around the club and make an investment in the best backroom staff we can tempt here, starting with the director of football. Things won't get significantly better until Moshiri commits to having us behave more like Atletico/Sevilla/Monaco/Dortmund behind the scenes.

Funny reading all the negativity to big Sam. Id love to re-read this thread in say feb (or maybe 11th dec)

Yes hes a cunt, and no doubt he will sign a couple of 6ft cunts in January. We need to be more cuntish, sick of being nice old Everton.

Lets be realistic, hes here to steady the ship, and make us competitive again, ready for the next guy. Well be able to attract a much better quality of candidate, onces Allardyce has settled us

If you dont think a club like Everton is above appointing a crook like this prick you need to do-one.

We're clearly not. No one wants the Everton job. Probably will now have to pay the crook more than he originally asked for.

I suggested all of this a couple of weeks ago.

Wonder if people have changed their minds.

We need to start thinking of the positives for the next few months, at least our non existent strike force will only be asked to score 1 goal to win games compared to the current ask of 5.

Moshiri is the one out of his depth, clearly.

It seems his chief football advisors are Bill and Elstone.

Good luck with that.

He once admitted, whilst Rooney's manager that he couldn't tell him where to play.

Sounds like just the person we need...

What an absolute shambles we are at the moment, fast turning into a laughing stock.

How shite are things when we initially don't make Allardyce feel welcome then ten days later look like right bellends and need to go back and re open talks with him because we've been totally incapable of getting anyone else in.

Complete mess on and off the pitch at the moment.

Given there was plenty of fans who didnt like the style of football under Moyes or Koeman when we were finishing top 7 so can just imagine what people will be like with Sam's style when we are safe and drifting along.

While Im less than impressed with this appointment, at least the board are acknowledging were up shit street. Id have been even angrier if wed appointed some guy whos just won the Austrian league playing a progressive 1-7-2 formation or some shit. Back to basics, stay up and fight another day...or season.

Just got to stay up now...

Great way to unite the fans, Moshiri lad. Let's all get behind this greasy, corrupt fuck.

Hey! Moshiri doesn't look greasy...
