Come on Gerard. Would love him to start scoring a few.

Been watching the last 10 mins. Don't think he's touched the ball yet

Absolutely disgraceful just then. Made zero effort to win the ball back for his team just trotting about.

Seriously though - it's not about fitness. I'm not having that as an excuse at all. The lad just can't be f'ing arsed. Pure and simple. He plays football like it's the 1960's/70's. And I used to be a big fan of his.

Just scored a brilliant placed finish from outside the area against Fiorentina.

First goal in over a year.

Yeah that was a class goal.  Pretty much exactly what you'd have hoped he'd have been capable of for us!  Quick feet, direct running, classy finish.

Koeman hasn't sent him out on loan to gain experience. He's let him go because he doesn't rate him.

I suspect he'd be more than happy to let him leave permanently if someone stumps up the necessary money.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man how to fish, the government will tell him to register his business license, pay income tax, pay payroll, pay for fishing permit.
