Title: Sky Sports: 25 years of the Premier League.
Post by: The Analog Kid on October 10, 2017, 10:53:33 PM
Sky are doing a rundown of the 25 best moments to be screened soon, results not yet known, obviously.

What’s people’s faves/best moments?

Guarenteed Shearer’s goal against us is gonna be on it, as is Aguero’s last minute league winner....

Yes Aguerro's last minute league winner was THE moment. It doesn't get any better than that.

Except Michael Thomas of course.

Shame that was three years before the PL was created. 🙂

Yeah I know.  Just meant for the occasion and the drama, and Liverpool losing.  The City win was spectacular, I suspect people will bang on about the usuals - Liverpool-Newcastle 4-4, Keegan losing it, Cantona's chip and flying kick (think that was the FA cup actually), Gerrard's slip etc. etc.

Rooney overhead kick for the Mancs

One of the most overrated goals. He shins it. Much better over-head kick...

Di Canio's scissor kick will definitely be one of the top 25, I would have thought.

Wayne Rooney's goal vs. Arsenal when he was 16.

Arsenal are invincible.
Leicester win the league (still can't believe that actually happened).
Beckham's half way line goal vs Wimbledon.
Bowyer and Dyer fight at Newcastle!
Rooney for Everton vs Arsenal (probably the only moment involving us).
Nwankwo Kanu's hat trick vs Chelsea

Only one man for me, and one goal that typifies his genius (although there were plenty to choose from):

Paul Gerrard wasn't it?

Whichever one of them was in goal that day I'd back DiCanio to catch the ball before them any day of the week.

Shearers late goal against us. That 30 yard volley.  So Everton.
