top flight for a long time


The only thing that really annoys me, though, is the way they go on about him like he was a God or a saint or something.  He was a good manager, motivator and the first to use the press but that's all.

The way their players talk about him as though he was a friend or they knew him really grinds as some of them weren't even born before he died.
We're forever Everton....

And yeah, LFC shat all over him after he retired. Shameful.

Another of my favourite quotes, regarding the offside rule and "interfering with play":  "If a player is not interfering with play, then what's he doing on the pitch?"
