It's the kids I feel sorry for. No sponsors on their replica kits again
Heard the club are looking to have Everton In The Community
or another sponsor on kids shirts, but not likely in time for next season...
Not having Chang on his shirt pissed my lad off from an early age, but he's in a small mens now, so, he's had his one and only season wearing a Chang shirt! Funny enough, he's just told me that he's not arsed who this new sponsor is or what they do, but "that'd better not be the actual fucking logo on the actual fucking shirt, fucksake, sportspisser!" Told him to stop it with the overuse of the word actual, and also to stop fucking swearingl.
I was hoping for a Hafnia comeback on our shirts, and asked my lad how he'd feel as a walking advertisement for processed meat with the worst "logo" ever...
Back when we had the likes of Hafnia and NEC I can't recall the slightest mention of sponsorship, how crap the "logo" was, or who they even were?! The thing had our crest on it, someone or other bought me it, I wore it, we won some stuff.
But later, I did like shirts without sponsorship on an aesthetic level, envied a few Chang-less shirts of my lad's I did. Love my "retro" Cup Winner's Cup shirt and some older ones from before the days of sponsors the most.
But, yeah, that sportspesa logo is a bit shit, but whatever, the club will still shift good numbers of shirts and pocket a better deal. Those who care will care much less when we win stuff with whatever is on the shirt, be it Sportspesa, Poundland, Hafnia..http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/famous-everton-1980s-presence-set-12606508
