Title: Marco Silva
Post by: Shogun on April 02, 2017, 04:13:08 AM
38 league matches unbeaten at home.

Last lost a home league match 30 March 2014, Estoril 0-1 Rio Ave.

Safe to say he knows what he's doing.

He looks very useful. Could turn out to be one of the major players. His Home record is unreal. Someone could well grab him from Hull in the summer.

Read a few of you comments about Silva Shogs, top stuff.

That's a superb record, only a handful at Hull but that's impressive enough.

Think he'll leave them at the end of the season without signing a new deal and with a massive boost to his reputation.

He was on a hiding to nothing, keep them up and he's a hero, they go down and he did his best with the team he inherited

That said, he seems to be a very very good manager, I can see him at the likes of West Ham next season

He's made Merson and the lads look a bit daft hasn't he?

To be fair, it doesn't take much to make Merson look daft. :)

The GSS lads are only there for their entertainment value, and they're good at that.

Oh yeah definitely, I enjoy listening to them.

It was the outrage that an English manager should have got the job instead of him that makes this funnier.

Shown them up for their distinct lack of knowledge, and utter lack of respect.

Sound fella

I remember the old scoreboard didn't fit his name on when he scored against us at Goodison.

He'll always be Charlie Nicola to me

:)

They said on Radio 5 earlier that some Portuguese guy, Marco Silva, was due to be announced as new manager?

He's got the name of that French guy who managed Villa for a couple of months and never won a game written all over him. If only I could remember his name. Rowett would have been the better choice.

Called it.

Read something saying they'd be 4th if the league had started when they appointed him. He's done unbelievably. Probably should be manager of the year if they stay up. Early days but he looks like 1 that could go on to greatness

Where would that put Niasse on the top scorers chart I wonder?

I'd happily take that as the final table, cos we'd be 3rd on there. :)

This fella knows what he's doing.

He does, he has the air of a Pochettino at Southampton. No, I'd not sack Koeman but if we were in need of a manager I think he's capable of the next level.

Impressive start to his PL career no doubt.
