As if an established (and still relatively useful) squad member has any right to demand a loan move you soft twit.

Wind yer neck in and get back in the matchday 16 Super Kev, there will be plenty of chances for you to serve the Royal blue cause!

@TheRam (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=1602) was it you saying you'd be sad to see him go in the podcasts?

@Silas (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=100) I agree it's good to want to play, but you have to expect a transfer, we have nothing to gain by loaning him and I think he should see that.

We might have if we brought someone in, maybe that was the plan? Would have got him off the wage bill

I imagine he'll be off in January. He was really pushing for a move while in Greece. Met with the owner of Olympiakos, gave interviews saying how much his family want to return to Greece, he even had Olympiakos shinpads with him!

Gonna be a busy first morning back for Koeman.

9am - Steve Walsh

10am - Wayne Rooney

11am - Kevin Mirallas

12pm - Ross Barkley

All with Oumar Niasse trying to catch his eye as he walks past his office door window.

Question 1. Where the fuck is my new striker Mr Moshiri?
2. Where the fuck is my new striker Steve?
3. Wayne, what the fuck were you thinking?
4. Kevin, give your locker key to Oumar on the way out.
5. Ross? Ross who?

Much as I think he's a bit of a waste of space in latter years he must have been given positive noises when signing a new contract. The least he would have expected I suppose is a decent run of games to prove whether he still has it or not.

If there is one thing I will say in Mirallas' defence, he is superb at ghosting into the area unmarked, unfortunately he's so good at it apparently his team-mates never see him because I can recall loads of situations he was on for a free crack at goal and somebody shoots while under pressure instead.

Maybe he only signed under the understanding that we'd sell him this summer and get some cash for him?

I'd love Barkley to do that in Jan just as Spurs are about to launch their 2 million bid for him, and then we end up selling him to them for 50 million.

I know, would never happen.

Greek sports sites have reported that Olympiakos offered 5 million (including covering his wages) to loan him for 1 season with a guaranteed 5 million to buy him next season based on appearances. We turned them down as we wanted 13 million.

They also say we had offers from Swansea and Fenerbahce but Mirallas rejected them. We had also offered him to Benfica as part of a deal to buy Mitroglou. There was also an agreement in principle with Leicester for 18million if Mahrez was sold.

The general conclusion is that we want to get rid of him but thought that we could get more money for him.

wish we had gone for Mahrez, would been 30million or so with Mirralas going the other way.

I would tend to think he's lost his touch, yet how often does he get in the sort of positions that brought this relatively good season? The tactics don't help him, chasing back.

Um, it fairly random, and there is no single reason. I guess it is a combination of the fact that (1) he is, at this point, one of our longest serving players: (2) he has the talent to get you of your seat (albeit a rare occurrence these days); (3) even when playing poorly, he tends to get goals and assists; (4) I like singing "Oh Kevin Mirallas" when he scores; and (5) I think, at least up until this point (when he deserves criticism for sure), he has been treated unfairly by supporters who never really got over his bad decision to take the penalty off of Baines.

For the record, Baines is my favorite Everton player, and Gueye probably comes third. I know that no one cares.

This is a player that (1) is well-compensated, (2) isn't all that useful, and (3) wanted to leave. Why is he still here?

Even if we're worried about squad depth in the wide areas, Sulking Kevin Mirallas hardly seems like the answer.

He's probably the answer to nothing, but if he's played some very good games in the shirt, and we asked him to sign again and he did, why the fuck we just didn't sell him the last window if Koeman had no plans for him is anyones guess, Dead easy to keep blaming players for what looks like the clubs cock ups. Now we've got trouble up front he'll be called a cunt if he takes his ball home, couldn't blame him 1 bit.

I always liked him a great deal but whatever happened a few years ago, he just plateaud and never recovered.

Now when you look at the teams we have to make up ground on, the wide positions are absolutely vital and can't be wasted on an OK for 5 mins a game player.

Mirallas must have hired the same public relations person that Heitinga employed during his time at Everton.

I think he probably has been forced to stay to some extent. If we wanted him gone, there were offers and he was clearly willing. Think we probably had him lined up as a sale, if we got someone else we couldn't get.

World cup year and he's not first choice. He wasn't first choice at start of last season, but played quite a lot of games.

He's selfish, but reliable and direct. We'll hopefully have people in better form, but he'll play games. He's self motivated, works hard, but helps team retain shape better than others.

Think a lot of people only 'want' first team players, others not good enough. But we'll need him at some point, still useful to squad.

But yeah, not a smart thing to say. But probably in context of him talking to contacts and fans of club he wanted to join, explaining he wanted to go. He's not saying he's heartbroken or anything too crazy.

from what i've seen. the times he has kicked off is because he wanted to play for EVERTON, he felt he could do better than what was going on on the pitch at the time, you cant fault the lad for that, he shouldnt have got into a strop, but to me that still shows desire, im pretty sure he has gotten the blue bug, and had it for a few years.
If Evertonians can get behind Koeman, im sure they could get behind Mirallas who has been with us longer than Koeman :p

His attitude towards Everton, on the pitch, on social media, is very positive.
He just threw his dummy out cos he wanted to play.
