When Peter sold Duncan – an Everton oral history

Faith of Our Families: Everton, an Oral History is the latest in a long line of seminal Everton books to come from the pen of Evertonian author and publisher, James Corbett.

That is fucking embarrassing really. A dark time in our history, yet that fucktard was the last chairman to see us win silverware .

Love the insight, at the time I was gutted. In hindsight, it was a very good fee, but certainly the manner of how it was all handled was cowardly.

I really like Myers, even when he's wrong about things, as we all are at times, I think you still sense the love for the club is the most important thing for him

Cheaper from amazon isn't it?  Haven't bought it yet myself, but confident it'll be under the tree on December 25th - my daughter always gets me a nice bundle of Everton things for Christmas.

I'll probably end up buying it for others who'll read it before I do, as usual.  I need a holiday or two - just me and my unread books.

The irony is when we signed Dacourt, Collins and Materazzi it was probably the most excited close season ive had since the one just gone, I thought back then we were going to make a big push to challenge up the top end, and I think Collins did too. Why cant things ever go to plan as an Evertonian?
