Title: To beat QPR...
Post by: Azz on August 13, 2011, 10:53:56 PM
Just put Tabarabaarrbrappppp in a straight jacket.  Bolton have battered them today listening to Final Score and SSN, they seem to be nothing when he can't do anything.

Going to get off to a great start to the season!  COYB!!!  :hail:  :woohoo:

I hope and pray Moyes reads this

I only watched the first half but whatever his name is was too greedy, if he had passed the ball QPR might have had more chances. Also it seems as though QPR don't have the legs to compete in the second half, it was shown in pre-season and again today.

Are postponed game today could well end up being a blessing in disguise for us. In our current predicament with no new signings and a couple of injuries to key players, we could of easily gone to White Hart Lane and lost and started the season with a defeat.

Now we start with an home game a week later against Q.P.R. who got battered and the high of promotion knocked straight out of em and we could quite possibly now start the season with a confidence boosting win?!.

This extra weeks training with no game and a friendly on Monday night will give us the chance to get the likes of Felli and Saha more match fit and ready and give us hope to get Arteta fit enough to take part in next Saturday's game which would be a big plus.

Not at all.  There'll be people with pitch-forks in Goodison Rd afterwards should we not get 3 points ;)

We'll probably still play 7 defenders and hoof it constantly to 1 person up front

I'll de devestated if we don't beat QPR after watching/listening to them today.

Like to see Vellios get a start on Monday with Saha to see how they work as a partnership, we need to go for QPR's throat & with no footie today I watched the Blackpool highlights to remind myself that we can play great attacking football.

Moyes should play it to Rodwell and remind him how well he can play.

A fresh face or too plus a positive start to the campaign would do all us frustrated bluenoses the world of good and this postponement will have worked in our favor.

P.S. Kieron Dyer   how the hell has he got away with it yet again!

Seeing the thread title, I thought it was going to be one of those joke threads with the punchline "Just show up" once you clicked on it.

But considering how many disappointing results we had against teams we should have easily beaten last season. And how we struggle to win at all in the first month or two of recent seasons. And that we added no one over the summer to a squad screaming out for more wingers and strikers.

Well, it's hard to be too confident much less jolly going into this one.

4-5-1 is obviously the best option against a massive club like QPR.

We need to make sure we don't get overrun by their amasing midfield, we couldn't cope with just four in midfield against a team like QPR.

They looked decent to me up until the second goal (although I realise highlights can be decieving)

Bothroyd and Campbell lookd threatening at least.

Was there any need for such pejorative language?

The lad was only expressing an opinion.

He contributes an opinion which often leads to discussion/debate.

More than can be said for posters such as yourself.

When did Craig change from "tit" to "cunt"? Would think there would have been an announcement or special podcast or something.

I think this is a 4-4-2 home game this one with Cahill as impact sub!

               Howard
Neville  jags   Distin     Baines
Arteta Fellani Rodwell Osman
           Beckford Saha

if Arteta sill injured would prob have to big Vic out there!
Title: Re: To beat QPR...
Post by: montanatoffeefan on August 15, 2011, 03:30:06 PM
I'd still put Big Vic out there -- on the right. With Arteta on the left, Ossie in the middle, and Rodwell on the bench. Given their positional naivete, a CM pairing of Rodders and Fell could be pretty dodgy.

Awful that Seamus went down.

Post by: christiffa25 on August 15, 2011, 03:34:56 PM
Maybe yeah, but rodders needs to be thrown in and giving games and made to man up.. If u will.

This has to be his year and he needs to play to progress

He does and it is. But we can't do it in a way that could cost us too much. And I see a pairing of him and Fell in the middle of the park costing us a lot of goals (while not being particularly potent at generating them for us). They both require adult supervision at this point.

Recetly? Think that happened in early June. The mood has actually improved around here in the last couple weeks. Though deadline day should cause an understandable relapse.

Hibbert?

Seriously, you wonder why people on this forum call people cunts all the time, it's because of people like you and posts like this. Adds nothing to the forum and is just slagging players off.

Hibbert is indicative of the decline of EFC and the acceptance of players who are not good enough.,

Now many come on this site and say Neville is OK. Well he is gash. Not a decent centre today in 6 attempts.

How many say that Osman can play centre midfield. Derry won it hands down.

How many say that Hibbert is a good bloke and can make the odd tackle. Well he is shit.

How many have come on here and said that Billy Liar is a good bloke and it could be worse. Well now he has shown
to be a liar without an idea in his head other than hanging on and waiting for his pay day.

Time to wake up and face the facts.

those who still have the misconception that osman is not good enough are wrong, he showed he talent countless times over the years, last season especially.

Fact:

QPR played better footie than EFC who was reduced to long ball hoofs with 25 mins to go.

Fact:

Derry was better than Osan.

EFC lost against a team that lost 4-0 home against Bolton and are nailed on
by the bookies to go down.

Osman had a shocker as did Neville and maybe one or two others.

All I reckon is that if Osman continues to play in centre midfield we will have a very bad year.
