Confident enough. Carlisle are are 15th in league one and have only won away from home twice this season (from 22 games).

Hopefully a good game.

Anyone here old enough to remember Carlisle in their only season in the top division ? they finished bottom in 1974/5 ish but beat us home and away ... If we'd won those 2 games we'd have won the league that year .. we were actually 2 - 0 up at Goodison and lost 3 - 2 !!!!! We need to gve them a real good tonking to exorcise that ghost !

Why did he get booked for it exactly? I thought you could take the shirt off if you have a vest? Or was it because of the biblical quote?

The rule was introduced because of players having slogans under their shirts and as it now stands slogan or not if you remove your shirt it is a booking.

Bit of a banana skin this one. I saw them play Pompey in the Carling Cup at Brunton Park. They aren't actually that bad a team. And but for a bit of luck, they could have given Pompey a real fright.

Having said that I would hope for 3-0 just to keep the confidence up.

FFFFFFUUUUUU
I don't want him making his debut against the Gunners...

Oh and in terms of lineup or whatever I think Moyes will have to put out his best as we were in the final last year. We can't be getting knocked out straight away to shite opposition.

Sounds plausible. FA rules state player must be registered by 12 noon on the Friday before a cup tie. As Friday is a Bank Holiday, and the transfer window does not open until the Saturday he cannot be registered in time.

Everton v Carlisle line-ups:
Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Neill, Baines, Pienaar, Neville, Cahill, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov, Vaughan.
Subs: Nash, Coleman, Duffy, Forshaw, Agard, Baxter, Mustafi.

Carlisle: Collin, Keogh, Livesey, Harte, Horwood, Hurst, Clayton, Kavanagh, Taiwo, Robson, Pericard.
Subs: Pidgeley, Bridge-Wilkinson, Murphy, Anyinsah, Dobie, Burns, Kane.
Referee: Jon Moss (W Yorkshire)

Nicked from the BBC.

Pretty strong line up. Obviously Moyes wants no Oldham style mistakes.

I've just been watching Moyes press conference yesterday and he makes an interesting slip of the tongue, when asked about managers getting the sack recently he says:

"yeah, I was at the Bolton/Hull game to see Gary....eeeerrrr, I know Gary Megson well...."

Gary Cahill anyone!?

Yeah, the one from yesterday. He clearly says he was there to watch "Gary" then he switches it to Megson to respond to the question.

I wouldn't mind one bit! Inflated price though, surely, plus no new manager would want to see the back of him.

Given the past few games, he either needs to stand up or be dropped. He's doing very little. In his first few games, he was a bit on the weak side, but his delivery was cracking. He's not even doing that now!

I was on a Paddy Power binge season before last, plugged most of the winnings back in, but ended up around + 100 for the year which was not too bad considering the amount of bets.

Won 260 on a horse and then thought I could double it with a bet on Utd beating Blackburn. They drew. Bastards.
