Tomorrow at 12pm UK time on BT Sport 1 and UEFA's website.
Copenhagen, Zulte Waregem and Vitesse will do.
-
Milan
Hoffenheim (guaranteed)
Red star
That's my prediction
-
Kiev
Rosenborg
Athens
-
Villereal
Cologne
Slavia Prague
-
Nuts how there's 5 English teams in the Champions League and only two in Europa.
-
Very little to fear. I'd say it's quite likely we'll be the best side in our group and would take a dreadful draw for us not to be 1 of the best 2
-
Copenhagen - I love Denmark
Guimaraes
Skenderbeu
-
Weird seeing Arsenal in it. There are some tough teams in the 1st pot as expected but pot 3 & 4 have little to be worried about. Looking forward to the draw.
-
Lazio
Astana
Fastav Zlin
-
Villarreal (revenge)
Belgrade & Prague
-
Salzburg
Cologne
Vittesse.
Nice short easy flights. Not going to affect preparations for the games on Sunday.
The thing I'm happiest about though is that hertha are in the same pot as us. I had a feeling that we would draw them and the away game would be around the time my baby is due. Would have been gutted.
-
Braga, Cologne and S Prague will do me.
-
Copenhagen
Atalanta
Vitesse
-
A tiny bit of me would love to get Milan
-
Would love to get a bit of revenge on Kyiv as well.
-
Fastav Zlin. I keep seeing Fatboy Slim when I read that
-
I want to go watch us play in the San Siro
-
A tiny bit of me would love to get Milan
Beautiful city, would be a proper side.
-
Beautiful city, would be a proper side.
You messing? Milan is a fucking dump of a city. Rotten, miserable, working city.
The surrounding area is astonishing, i spent a few weeks touring around it and the lakes. But Milan city itself is balls.
There are some tough teams in the 1st pot as expected but pot 3 & 4 have little to be worried about. Looking forward to the draw.
This is my feeling. Couple of pot 1 teams i wouldn't fancy. But two go through and we'd have to be proper unlucky to find 3 teams that we'd struggle to get 3 or 4 points off in that draw.
-
Would like to avoid Zenit and Dynamo
-
Would like Salzburg,Cologne and Pilzen (where they make Pils )
-
Would like Salzburg,Cologne and Prague !
-
You could have some seriously tough away days in the same group. Zenit, Partizan and Istanbul would be horrendous.
I would love to see us get AC Milan, and then a couple of nothing teams in the 3rd/4th seed to get through.
-
How do you go about getting tickets for an away match if you're not a STH?
I'd love to go - we always say about dusting off the passport but I never know how to get a ticket!
-
main thing we don't want is long distance travelling...........Possibly better to have a high profile team from Pot 1 , to get us used to facing someone better in the latter rounds, Nothing worse than facing 3 easy teams then getting paired with a CL drop out in the knockout stage. Only advantage of playing easy teams on paper is letting the full squad get some rest / game time between the League games.
bring it on Guys
-
Nuts how there's 5 English teams in the Champions League and only two in Europa.
The rules only allow 7 in total from any one association, so what should have been our 2nd group stage slot went to Fastav Zlín for winning the Czech Cup. Since Arsenal had already obtained that through their league position, I never quite understood why we didn't get that group slot and it be our league's qualifying 3rd round slot that was given to another league..
On the other hand our extra time to gel and get some sharpness may work to our benefit..
-
How do the drop outs work? If CL teams get ko'd the next round do they go into EL ko rounds?
-
How do the drop outs work? If CL teams get ko'd the next round do they go into EL ko rounds?
3rd place from the groups go into the EL KO rounds
-
3rd place from the groups go into the EL KO rounds
Still angers me that, its ridiculous, teams should only have one chance in Europe.
-
I want to go watch us win in the San Siro
Fixed
-
Milan and hoffenheim is the nightmare scenario.
Don't mind one of those but not both, being us though that's what we'll probably get!
Would have to play our best 11 in those 4 so could cock up our league plans
Fingers crossed for a 'fair' draw
-
Seriously not bothered who we draw, we shouldn't fear any of them
-
Plzen
Zulte
Ostersund
-
Link for the draw, not sure if there's a live stream

Just did my own draw on here

We got
FC Salzburg
Everton
1899 Hoffenheim
FC Zlin

That 'Everton' team might be quite tough..... ;)
-
Live on BT Sport 1.
Bet we get fucking Villareal.
-
We now want group F I think? Due to the TV split with Arsenal..
-
Live on BT Sport 1.
Bet we get fucking Villareal.
Can't now
-
We've got Lyon
-
Fuckin Lyon.
-
Lyon, tuff.... group G looks daft...
-
Lyon. Not a bad draw IMO.
-
"...to put the champagne on ice,
"We're going to Lyon twice..."
-
20k to Lyon then?
-
Hard group for us.
-
Lyon, Atalanta
-
I'm reading comments from Lyon fans along the lines of "groupe de la mort", which I can only assume is French for "Lyon that".
-
Tough, but more than doable, want to avoid Red Star Belgrade in the pot 4.
-
Easy peasy
-
Lyon, tuff.... group G looks daft...
Fuck it Group of Death it is :headbang:
-
Nailed on we'll get Vitesse or AEK. Horrible group.
-
Looks like @GLewis (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=258) shout of our group will be tougher than Liverpool's CL group has come to fruition
-
Prague, decent city all close!! Shit already gone, Cyprus nice places to visit at least... happy with that and good tests in Europe for the knockout stage!
-
Tough. Second hardest teams we could have got, praying for a minnow in pot 4
-
Could have been a lot better that - you always want to avoid teams from France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Arsenal's is looking tough too tbf.
-
A,B,C,D,G,H..
-
lyon , Atalanta limassol
-
limassol away will be decent
-
Lyon, Atalanta, Apollon Limassol
Could have been worse. Could have been better.
easy travel!
-
So that's the 7th highest ranked team from pot 1, 2nd highest in pot 2 (us), 2nd highest in pot 3 and 4th highest in pot 4.
Nice one.
-
Better to play teams that are good enough to attack us, we are more suited to that at the moment
Happy enough with that
-
Pretty happy with this, were better than all of them and the flights are only a couple of hours so should help us in the league. Rather play better teams on better pitches
-
So that's the 7th highest ranked team from pot 1, 2nd highest in pot 2 (us), 2nd highest in pot 3 and 4th highest in pot 4.
Nice one.
Lyon 7th? No surely not, must be higher
-
Brilliant draw - all 3 will make for good trips - and we're probably even money to get through as well.
We're all goin' on a European tour, European tour, European tour................
-
All pretty big grounds as well, happy with that
-
Lyon 7th? No surely not, must be higher
Below Arsenal, Atletico, Villarreal, Zenit, Lazio and Kiev in the Euro Club Index.
-
Nice draw. Hoping to go to Italy and/or Cyprus :woohoo:
-
Happy with that, fancy us at home against Atalanta and Lyon and think we are good enough to nick results there as well. You'd hope we would beat the Cypriot team home and away.
Confident of qualifying, tough group, could have been worse, but could have been much better. Some nice trips in there though.
-
So that's the 7th highest ranked team from pot 1, 2nd highest in pot 2 (us), 2nd highest in pot 3 and 4th highest in pot 4.
Nice one.
Based on the co-efficients, it was 3rd best, 7th best and best
-
When do we play who and where?
-
What's the dates of the matches?
-
Pogba Uefa player of the Season wtf, will be Rooney next
-
Below Arsenal, Atletico, Villarreal, Zenit, Lazio and Kiev in the Euro Club Index.
Oh really? Fair enough
Altanta finished 4th in Serie A last season......4th?!?!
We could be in trouble, that is a very hard group
-
Limassol is a great little city, been a few times. Won't get any trouble and a great place for a few beers by the sea.
-
Lyon - stadium capacity 60000
Atalanta - 22000
Apollon - 14000
-
What's the dates of the matches?
no idea on who we play when yet but dates are
14/9
28/9
19/10
2/11
23/11
7/12
-
Hopefully that was just a fluke season From Atalanta and Kessie has gone now hasn't he?
Lyon will be tough, especially that away game. Gotta hope it is fortress Goodison again this season!
No idea what the other side are like but I think they knocked out Aberdeen in qualifying. Not sure what that tells us!
-
Some potential for a nice few away days there.
I've been to Lyon and it is a stunning city.
-
no idea on who we play when yet but dates are

28/9
19/10

Sound, Cheers for that
-
Limmasol is a great place.
Happy with that draw.
-
Hopefully that was just a fluke season From Atalanta and Kessie has gone now hasn't he?
Good point, and Lyon lost Lacazette of course, so could be a change in form for both this season.
-

@hill135 (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=3741) to provide update on Atalanta but I think they've lost a few players?
Lyon isn't easy as they're a consistent side who is used to playing in Europe with the prospect of a final in their home ground.
Appollon only just beat Aberdeen.
-
Oh really? Fair enough
Altanta finished 4th in Serie A last season......4th?!?!
We could be in trouble, that is a very hard group
They were the suprise package last season, but they have lost two of thier best players in Franck Kessie and Andrea Conti to AC Milan this summer.
They replaced Kessie with Marten de Roon from Middlesbourough which might give you an idea of their standard.
-
Depay is at Lyon isnt he?
-
Pretty happy with this, were better than all of them and the flights are only a couple of hours so should help us in the league. Rather play better teams on better pitches
In decent locations you might want to stay in..
-
Lyon and Atalanta aren't the same sides any more. That draw coulda been a lot worse.
-
Any idea when dates / times etc will be sorted?
-
Cyprus is a long trip bear in mind. Just because it's a popular holiday destination doesn't mean it's not, apart from the Israeli sides, as far as it gets in terms of the South east of Europe.
-
Fucking sweet! I'm only a 7 hour drive from Atlanta. Oh...
-
Imagine the numbers we will take to Lyon, be on a par with Lille
-

Christ yeah they did really well, still think they'll be a challenge though.
Would have preferred to have fixtures where we could rest some of the starters as it may tell later on in the season but nevermind, it's a good challenge
-
Depay is at Lyon isnt he?
Yeah, Lyon have some decent players as you'd expect. But if you take a look at their squad there isn't anything in there to really fear now Lacazette has gone. It will still be tough, but I think we have the best squad of the four teams in our group.
-
Lyon have some unpredictable players so will be dangerous in cup games like this.
-
Strangely I actually have both a Lyon shirt and an Atalanta shirt, they could be both getting burned if we get done over by them!
-
Top 2 go through to knockouts, we should be one of them
-
Should be going through though. Would still put us as likely favourites to win the group but will be close with Lyon.
-
Not too many players I recognise in that Atalanta squad, De Roon and Cornelius are 2 ex prem players I recognise
Lyon have got a pretty good squad by the looks of things. Hopefully Koeman knows how to stop his fellow countryman Depay. We also get to see what we could have had in Ferland Mendy who we were linked with if I remember correctly
I still expect 3 wins at Goodison, that along with 1 away win and 2 draws would be enough to see us through I assume. Would be nice to go through as group winners
-
When do we know the fixture dates etc.. thought it was automatic?
-

Dates are automatic but not sure of the ordering.
-
used to support Atalanta as a kid, knew fuck all about them like, just liked the colour of their kit
still know fuck all about them
-
First group games will be played on the 14th of September. :)
-

I am pretty sure that is the same rationale that made me a Denver Broncos fan at age 2. My parents attest that I picked them at said age, and gave no reason for it. Stuck for life, though.
-
Home game first would be nice
-
Imagine the numbers we will take to Lyon, be on a par with Lille
Lyon's actually a nice city too.
-
Since I don't know the exact dates I've just booked 1 night for every date in Lyon , free cancellation.
Apparently the Atalanta game won't be played at their home ground, waiting to see what happens with that

thought we drew Lyon
-
Lyon seem to have sold their best players like Lacazette, Valbuena and Tolisso and not really replaced them properly.

Is Depay still there?
-
Could anyone price up a potential trip to Lyon for us?
-
Is Depay still there?
Depay is there. They also have Rafael and Betrand Traore.
-
Saw Atalanta a few times last season and they were worthy of their league position. I think they went 10 games unbeaten or something, which was a club record, and only lost it to Juventus.
Managed by Gasperini who has a habit of bossing it for one season at a time for some reason.
From what I've seen they play only one way which is fairly fluid possession football in a 3-4-3 and they're quite good to watch. They're unpredictable, however and can win games they aren't expected to and lose those they are.
They may come crashing back down to earth this season though cos they've sold all their best players and some of which are still there had the seasons of their lives which they might not repeat. They're one of those teams won't ever consistently be good because their XI is drastically different every year. They have the best academy in Italy but little inclination to hold on to their homegrown talents.
I reckon we're better them and 4 points from two games would be just fine
-

Not a common destination.
Flights have stopped from Manchester till next year.
Flying from London is £58 on a random September Thursday (double or teble that when the dates for the match are announced though)
Hotels around £80 for 2 as well (again, may go up).
If you could drive you can get an overnight chunnel for £46. Take between 12 & 18 hours though
Train is (getting in at 4 on a Thursday, leaving at 2 on the Friday) is £190
-
Hill hath spoken.
-
14/9 Atlanta A
28/9 Apollon H
19/10 Lyon H
2/11 Lyon A
23/11 Atlanta H
7/12 Apollon A

Atalanta is in Bergamo.
Flights with lufthansa and hotel for £296. Ryanair fly there but odd days or sold out already.

Yes but their ground isn't to UEFA standard.
-
Really poor how in 2017 so many Italian grounds don't meet UEFA requirements. Interestingly though Atalanta have just recently bought theirs from the council so presumably they will make improvements.
-
Lyon double header could be tasty
-
Atalanta Now @AtalantaNow
Heads up #Everton fans. Thanks to UEFA it is highly likely the fixture will be played at Sassuolo and not in Bergamo.
2:28 PM - Aug 25, 2017
.......a bit confusing but I think this is the team that plays at the Mapei Stadium mentioned earlier
-
Flights to Lyon from London £56 return from Wednesday to Friday.
-

for now...
-
Start with a road match that isn't that hostile? Sounds perfect to me. Also like playing Lyon back-to-back, and certainly not getting them at the very end.
-
I've paid £65 for flights to stay 1 night in Lyon
and
£100 for flights to stay 2 nights in Cyprus
-
Are there really no flights to Lyon from Liverpool or Manchester?

Bologna and train seems the best bet for Atalanta then. Flights to Milan are slightly cheaper but the train is 2 hours from there, only half hour from Bologna.
-
Bologna great for food.

Just looking and the Cyprus deals look sound.
Flight from Stanstead for £75, 3 nights in Paphos for £200 (between 2 people), quite nice hotels too. Must be desperate for the business at that time of year.
-

So first game away to Atalanta is played between Spurs (h) & Man Utd (a) ... our start to the season just got harder still.
-
Could anyone price up a potential trip to Lyon for us?
Think I'll drive and spend a few days in France, cost of diesel and tunnel plus a nice b&b in the city... sorted !
-
Piece of piss. If we can't get through the group, we don't deserve to go far in this tournament.
-

Sounds good mate.
Where shall you pick me up?
-
Ffs I'll miss a load of these games

a friend used to live in Lyon and to get to Liverpool she'd fly from Geneva, which isn't far
-

...........it's about 100 miles but there is a good train service about 1hr -45m
-
Grenoble airport is not that much further from Lyon city than Lyon airport is.
Both are busy during the winter, due to their proximity to the Alps, but I think flights ease off during the rest of the year.
Ditto Chambery.
-
Can you use the Everton membership to get tickets early for European games then? (home games)
-
Sounds good mate.

I'll have 3 spaces so make sure you're en route

How do you go about getting tickets for an away match if you're not a STH?
I'd love to go - we always say about dusting off the passport but I never know how to get a ticket!
....
-

Doesn't cover any cup games, but you should be able to grab one or two for these games if you're quick.
Anyway, happy enough with the group... could be a little testing in Italy and France, but expect us to get through it without too much hassle...
just wish I could do all the away days, but not a chance as it stands for me. Cyprus is a hope. And then hopefully more to come. Sort of hoping Sevilla drop in and we get them as I have family not too far from there!
-

I think @Gash (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=14) got an executive one for one of the earlier games as the normal seats had sold out. Im sure it wasn't massively more than a normal ticket price either?
Or if @Brownie20 (http://www.nsno.co.uk/forums/index.php?action=profile;u=169) or another ST holder who lives far away can't make it, see if you can buy theirs.
-

Aye, it was the Park End suite. £36 for a seat, pie, programme and team sheet. Oh and you can get a bevvy as well. :)
I can't remember if normal tickets were available to Everton Members on a priority? We bought the hospitality ticket as we thought the game might sell out before it went on general sale due to a lot of the main stand being closed.

The prices might go up a touch for the group stages, but as a non-STH myself have had no problem getting a good choice of good seats in gen sales for Europa games so far. Need to get on them early though.
As I posted earlier; Membership only covers league fixtures.
-
Hopefully keep the reduced prices for the home games, decent attendances
-
Official club day trip package from Liverpool to Atalanta £399 ,Lyon £299 . Don't shoot the messenger.
Match tickets not included.

Ah man, if only Aberdeen had beaten Apollon Limassol I could have seen Everton come to Pittodrie.

Aberdeen in December?
No thanks ;)

Atalanta on BT sport 3 away at Napoli.
Just scored from a header from a corner after 15 mins.
-
Poor marking after an age being taken to get the corner in.
-
Napoli have big bags of pasta by the corner flags.
Brilliant stuff.

60,000 seater stadium, average League attendance 39,000, am hoping this will be a bit like Lille and Wolfsburg where we were able to buy tickets in the section next to the away section, reckon this will go down to STH + 5 credits before sold out.

Ye I had to use a VPN and buy them in the home end against Lille. In the end they converted that whole block for the away fans anyway, so it was sound.
Have you found a hotel for Cyprus?
I've actually seen a few full board ones for really cheap.

Just booked an air b&b for Lyon 4 nights 89 quid. Seen the train for 115 quid each return.
Gonna surprise the other half saying we're going for a city break later
-
.............did you get a credit for the Hajduk Split home game ? I didn't.
I haven't checked. Didn't realise we did for home games?

.............for the past few seasons home cup games have counted as an away credit. Not sure if that still applies.

Good luck with that. Let us know how you get on.

Hopefully she's had a decent day in work and In a good move.
Or I might just take her the pub, let her drink loads and then say we're going.

iPhone duplicate.
Just booked flights from Heathrow instead 97 quid each

That's not too bad!
I might use my avois, but I'm thinking of going to Mexico next year so want to try and save them.
BA is pretty sound though, normally get free snacks and stuff included and get more avois.
Plus I live 10 mins drive away from T5 and get free on terminal parking.

Unfortunately they scrapped the free snacks and drinks on short haul flights about 6 months ago.

I went to Glasgow and Edinburgh recently and had free snacks from them. Also on my flight the other week from Manchester to London.
Maybe because some of them were delayed they did this.
Still a decent airline tho and they do M&S food.

Strange. Must just be on certain routes.
-
Definitely says on my reservation confirmation the M&S meals available to buy, this replaces complimentary snacks, anyway 90 odd minute flight who cares.

Think I'm going to book from Gatwick or Stansted for the Cyprus trip. Flights only £100 return.

Not sure about getting a ticket for this one, only seats 20,000, we might not get more than 2,000 tickets
and only have ST plus 2 aways.

I'm not gonna get one in my own name, but I'll end up getting one from one of a few people. I already know a couple that can't go because it's too close to Xmas.
Some of the hotels are sound. Only going to be about 19 degrees but be a nice little winter getaway anyway.
Edit: 19 degrees might be pushing it :)

See Limassol aren't the whipping boys we thought they might be.

no, that's us
-
Atalanta +3 4pts
Lyon 0 2pts
Limassol 0 2pts
Everton -3 1pt
The plus side is that after two matches, only one team has won so it could be a relatively low points total to get through.

Lyon are a better side than us.

Can't say I've watched much of them.
Most French teams don't seem to live up to their reputations though.
They've drawn against Limassol and at home to Atalanta so will be four points down on what they expected whereas we're probably three points down?
-
I honestly don't want us to go through, bizzare thing to say I know, but I dread to think what will happen when we play a half decent side, possibly another Benfica situation

I know what you mean. I feel a bit weird about it.... we are in such a mess that part of me wants out of it so we can just concentrate on the league..... on the other hand some miracle might happen so I've just reserved my seat for the Lyon game :)
-
Have had a non refundable flight and hotel booked to Lyon since the draw, knowing now that I will be travelling for what will be a dead rubber by then is bloody depressing.

Also will prolong Koemans reign. ;/

What a heartbreaker that was. Total mauling.

Sorry to hear that mate. Load of shite this. Fuck off Everton.

Beat Lyon at home and it's hardly a dead rubber is it? We've got as good a chance as them of getting through. There are 4 games left to play.

Have we? We are shite and you'd have to assume they aren't quite as bad

Worth noting plenty of teams have gone through with 8 points or less. I can see us picking up at least 7 points from the 4 games we have left.
Liverpool didn't win until the fourth group game in 2015/16, ended up topping the group and ultimately getting to the final. I'm not saying we're definitely going to get through but calling the fourth group game a dead rubber is a bit pessimistic. We're not in the ideal position but far from out of it.

Well that's that then if you've decided
