Awful awful player mate.
Guess coming from the boss 80s sides to that skews my opinion slightly

Can I throw a mitch ward in?

Any player who played right back in between Gary Stevens and tony Hibbert as well!!

I'm surprised nobody has thrown Kroldrup's name in here, even though the poor lad only played one game, a 4-0 drubbing at Villa where every player was shite, not just him, yet he bore the brunt of it. He was pretty good for Udinese!

i recall being on holiday when we bought him, i missed the charity shield due to the holiday, i got back. My mates had told me he scored,, was so hyped about him. but he was incredibly shit.. lol he only scored 2 goals for us, the charity shield one and i dunno who against, i think it was villa or west ham, then i remember him being dropped and going out on loan til his contract expired lol.

shame, he looked kinda sexy on the ball(close control) kinda like arteta but without the physical features to make him genuinely sexy.

Pistone was an absolute disgrace

he may have become a disgrace, but he was decent when we got him off of newcastle.

he also looked sexy in the kit.. lol and played over 100 games in 7 years

whiile ibrahim said was fucking shit, he didnt even get to play for us during his loan spell.

just googled Said, the teams he's played for i've never heard of them.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibrahim_Said

alli alli tripoli sounds like a great name for a team. (Al-Ahly Tripoli)

For worst players we may as well just reel off a list of Walter Smith's era. The majority of it anyway.

Best is probably Baines. A couple of years back he was on another planet, he deffo deserved to play champs league footy.  I remember being absolutely floored by how good Gough was.

The Koldrup performance at Villa feels like it was some sort of prank that we weren't in on. Unfortunately I reckon there have actually been worse players and performances, but fortunately my brain has actively forced them from my memory.

ohmygod, what a squad, not sure which squad is more fucked up, the current day one or that one.

There's actually some boss signings there, I knew he signed Gough and Weir, brilliant, quite a few others, but then he countered that with the likes of Pembridge, Pistone, Tal, Blomqvist, Nyarko, Alexandersson, Gascgoine (once grwat, knackered by the time he got to us), Hughes, Degn. Terrible!

lol as mentioned above, he had a great left foot, im left footed also.. lol :p

Dacourt was good, but he wasnt here long enough for me to rate him, and i think he got better in his career, he came to us when he was pretty inexperienced (only had 1 team before us)

i recall being on holiday when we bought him, i missed the charity shield due to the holiday, i got back.

I'd blocked out Vinny Sideways.  Hate these threads, always end up having all sorts of horrible flashbacks no matter how many greats get mentioned.  Always descends into grimness.

Some funnies come back though - I remember some fella in the bullens shouting at Pembridge "fuck off Steve Buscemi".  Not fair on the real Steve Buscemi I thought.

Beyond the obvious talents of our 80s legends, the likes of Beardsley, Kanchelskis, Arteta, Pienaar spring to mind as being absolute pleasures to watch.  Shame Dacourt didn't stick around, top talent.

You can't be that young surely? One as cynical as you.

To answer that question he only scored one goal for us. In a 4-2 win against Chelsea at home. The ball was one yard out with an open goal - and he almost missed it. I'm a better footballer than Brett - and I'm a rugby player

Best - Peter Beardsley

When I was mascot, we won 1-0 and he scored the only goal, so obviously I'm eternally grateful to him for making that amazing experience perfect!

But he was just a class act, such an intelligent player, great goal scorer, skilful and came to us at an age where he still bossed things

He was star player for us at the time when I was mascot and he was a class act off the field too, talking to me and my Dad for ages before the game, even though when he asked me who my favourite player was I had said Pat Nevin!

Worst - Claus Thomsen

Had an amazing ability to coast through games barely touching the ball while playing centre mid and not giving a single fuck about it

There has been some bad players especially during the 90s or early 200s.

Have to throw Anderson Silva in there. Only played for about 5 minutes for us off the bench but from what I remember of it he genuinely didnt look like he knew where to stand or what to do. Probably made worse by us signing him and needing to wait about 2 years for him to be able to play because of a work permit. Then get 5 minutes, look clueless and get shipped out.

Some other players who I just remember thinking they were awful people like Tony Thomas, Paul Holmes, Peter Degn, Claus Thomsen, John Spencer, Danny Williamson.

Nyarko was obviously really bad but he had the odd game where he looked brilliant just must have had a dreadful attitude. I remember his debut away at Leeds we lost 2-0 but he looked a good signing then scored at Spurs a few weeks later thought we'd found a player. Dont remember him running around after that.

Cant have shouts like Phil Neville, he'd have been one our best players at times in the 90s.

I have to say, whilst we've had more than a fair share of shite to put up with over the years, I have to list Phil Neville as the worst player I've ever seen - the amount of years we had to put up with those pathetic dinked passes and the fact he was captain left me embarrassed to call myself an Evertonian at times.

I know I always make the point about Senderos. Average as hell player and not that I think we should have signed him personally but just a reminder that he played 3 games for us and we didn't concede any goals while he was on the pitch and his job was to defend

No fucking chance that he can be listed alongside some of the total shite that have turned out for us over the years!

Also Idan Tal was alright!scored a decent goal against Boro!some players never scored at all!again no chance is he the worst player in our history

Scott Gemmill played a big part in helping us stay up. Limited player but slight cult hero status I reckon!

He must have very good tactical appreciation and positional awareness etc.

Re the chipped passes, they're actually something that lots of managers would appreciate as it's a player taking on the responsibility of moving the team forward (albeit not very well).

Players have to be brave on the ball and that means risks in terms of play but also risks in terms of what the crowd do if it goes wrong. Otherwise it just goes sideways or backwards.

I remember away at Fulham, think we lost 2-0 when Stubbs scored an Own goal, think it was 2002 or something, I got there early and he was warming up by the way end, he flapped at a ball and it came to me so I threw it back to him, an inch perfect throw not even hard, he caught it and proceeded to juggle it all over the gaff like a hot potato, virtually spazzing out shitting himself when he caught it, then he tumbled on his arse coz he caught the dugout walking back.

Just remember walking off thinking "christ".

Remember we where shopping around for ages for a keeper before we landed him and I was quite happy when we did. Moyes quip of him being the "next england goalkeeper" was way wide of the mark.

He earned over 5M sitting on his arse at Man city for 4 years so he probably isn't arsed.

worst madar

I thought he looked promising at one stage. Remember away to Wimbledon or Palace when we scored 3 and he was good. Away at Spurs too one time he was good.

Scored on his debut against Palace.

Amazingly madar wasn't even the worst forward we had that season

Cadamartari, Ferguson, Madar...

We also had the likes of Thomas, Tiler, Bilic and Craig Short in defence. Bad times them.

We survived on goals I think.

7
Mickael Madar  The flashy fiery Frenchman's 6 goals saved our bacon.

8
Nick Barmby  England International plays best behind the front two.

9
Duncan Ferguson  The towering Scot, made Captain, weighed in with his 11 goals

11
John Spencer  A strange signing by Kendall who never proved worth his big salary.

15
Peter Beagrie  Back on loan from Bradford City for a pointless cameo appearance.

16
Michael Branch  Nippy forward still running-in his shooting boots.

29
Danny Cadamarteri  Young striker with pineapple hair and a flair for goals.

30
Phil Jevons   Tall striker playing and scoring for the youth/reserve teams

34
Francis Jeffers   Back in the reserves/U-19s after a 4-match suspension from last season

John spencer tho

That Derby game where Cadamartari had Kavarme (sp) in his arse pocket.

I never liked Barmby either.

Probably his best moment in an Everton shirt.

Maybe that's the one I was thinking of. Just remembered us being great first half and getting three. Can't remember the final score. I think we won.
